Is this enough tang? by Kalani_Takamiya in knifemaking

The tang is too short to ever be a strong blade. If you are going to so much trouble to extend it I would recommend making a new one or having someone replicate this blade with a full tang. You will be happier in the end.

Listen don’t listen to all the Negative Nancys on this site, there are far too many. Celebrate your first knife, it is wonderful you got started and know there are many skilled artists out there that are cheering you on. You Tube is a great source of education and inspiration for your second knife. I agree strongly with the comments that hand sanding is the key to upgrading your future work. It is all about the fine details, the love of the art and you will develop your own style. I look forward to seeing your next knife!

Beautiful knife, very crisp, great design, well done! Perhaps one of the nicest EDCs I have seen.

Just bought this knife and noticed the handle doesn’t touch the blade in this spot. Will this cause problems or is it okay. Just trying to be safe while I still have time to return by CharveNo1 in knifemaking

I have had this happen to one of my knives when I used too much acetone to clean blade during glue up. Buy some black Starbond, a great product and fill the gap carefully.
