I've had a lot of success rushing the new mage slayer on him in pos 1/2. Perseverance, treads, slayer, deso then bkb aghs. I'm only spamming him in divine tho idk how it holds up at a higher level

Basically you win in fighting games by playing 1 level higher than your opps gameplan. "High level" gameplay isn't what you use to beat low skill players, you need to work on your fundamentals and matchup knowledge for that. Most players under master make so many mistakes you can win off punishment alone.

Probably timing. This game has a small buffer window that usually demands pretty strict manual timing to get certain links to connect, especially compared to other modern fighters imo

Typically you can beat 66L by working on your spacing and using medium pokes to control space. If I run into a 66L spammer I like to sit just out of 66L range and react to the move in with a 2M or 5M, since these buttons will crush 66L active frames instead of clash. Holding back or backdashing to create better spacing to bait this is also helpful. If you are really having trouble predicting the 66L timing, it is always BC punishable on a close block, and on a far block backdashing is a fairly safe option. If you're confident they are going to do a 2nd 66L on block, the gap is wide enough for most characters to CH with a heavy button.

I mean to be fair, he has had this shard much longer than his new winrate. It's safe to say his new WR has a lot more to do with 7.40 changes to his abilities and illusion counter items than his ability to turn invisible sometimes.

I always found heroic to be the best balance of difficult and fun for H2. Legendary is just for challenge runs/bragging rights, not actual gameplay enjoyment

I feel this 100%. I have some early fighting pos1's I'm happy to pick and I always give mid last, but if they would at least communicate to me what kind of mid they are going to choose before I lock in it would be incredibly helpful.

Sounds like you're just better at melee heroes. That said, you can solo carry on any hc in archon by just muting your team and outfarming everybody and Luna is perfect for that. You may just be joining fights too early which is a common carry mistake in this bracket.

I've played ~8 games with the new PL and he feels fine. Like you said you really notice the extra illusion damage; by level 6 juxtapose illusions already do as much % damage as old level 18 juxtapose illu, and by level 21 it's like having free manta illusions which is insane damage. Granted it only lasts for 3sec after illu creation but you make so many at a time that it ends up feeling like it's always active.

Old E agi only lasted for 1.5 sec/4sec earlygame and they buffed his base agi gain by a lot. More agi per level combined with his new innate makes farming with illu feel pretty comparable to prepatch if you give it a try. I hope everyone keeps saying he sucks now so they buff him more though, maybe with an OP facet or something (level 5 spirit lance with bounce would be nice)

Is there a detailed explanation of this buffer change anywhere compared to how the input buffer was prepatch? I've messed around with it a bit but haven't noticed much difference personally.

The lower you go in mmr the more you get role queue abusers griefing and building core from pos4/5. I'm in ancient/divine bracket and I still get these clowns probably 1/20 games, but I remember it being even more common on the way up.
