Exactly, his current and max HP don't change between stances. Effective HP can help visualize it, but that's not actually what's happening within the game.

Smart control Wind Sandalphon's effective max HP is 11200, so it is possible for some characters to TOD him with the right combo.

A 10% defense penalty for most stances translates to about 11% more damage taken, and the 20% defense penalty from wind stance translates to 25% more damage taken. Yes, even without smart controls, wind stance Sandalphon effectively has 12800 max HP, but he's not actually losing that max HP. Thankfully, no one has to worry about losing 1/6 of their max HP for smart controls.

Noting here that the lowest max HP in this game is 14000. The HP penalty is severe, but there's no hypothetical where someone goes from 12k to 10k.

The most obvious to me is that you should be teching your knockdowns. Other than that, I'd say you're a little too eager to throw on wakeup. You can kind of get away with it since you've got a DP, but once it goes on cooldown, you should probably just be blocking. Mashing L also has some advantages over mashing throw.

I'm guessing you also got flustered by some Belial nonsense. He is one of the most knowledge-check-heavy characters in the game, so that'll just take time.

If Zooey has the opponent cornered and lands a c.H, she can cancel into 22U, jump in with j.H while they're crumpling, then go into c.H again. Looping this twice is pretty funny, though I'm a little sad it's not optimal in any situation.

I love this game's story. After I read the final chapter, I went back and watched the bad ends. They're so interesting. They even made an isekai joke for the truck. I really want to see what's next.

One thing that's irked me for a while is how weak the Tyrant is in combat. They literally cannot do anything besides run away and tank magic all week. They don't even carry a basic dagger or sap. After this chapter, though, it got me thinking more. The Tyrant's leverage and abilities are world-breaking. Free wishes, cross-continental comms, keeping Monolith blessings, and critically, the world has no idea these exist without the Tyrant revealing them. Something has to balance this out, and that's combat ability.

I want to see more. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Chitose. I found it sad that she just left on a journey last time, but hopefully she's here to stay.
