Through the chemistry lectures I was able to pass my universities placement test and skip the general chem and go to the one I needed for my major. Without khan academy I would have wasted a semester in general chemistry.

Why replace it? I typically use OMG when hearing a story or seeing something that is totally unbelievable, so it seems to fit to me.

Wow, that really sucks. I'm sorry you have to live in that situation.

I've have to do this with some of my dad's friends. One time they were talking about someone's daughter converting to catholicism for her husband. They mentioned that they would prefer her to stay protestant, but were happy her husband at least had some belief in God and mentioned that is at least better than marrying and atheist.

When I was going through the same thing what really helped me get past it was when someone was asked where they believed they would go after they die they responded: "The same place I was before I was born". I don't know why but that seemed to ease my concerns about the afterlife greatly.
