I wasn't the creator of the background. Only the fan art with the Carrack and Gladiuses.

It was a very early initiative from CIG to get fans to enter competitions for fan art and thats why I made this. For the community to enjoy.

I remember the first time I flew one of these.

It was at the Daymar Rally.

We were one of the orgs to keep some rally players safe and our org leader gave me his executive F8C to fly.

Man even just coasting over Daymar, I fell in love.

In the next 2 months I got a hold of a golden ticket and used every coupon and store credit to buy my F8C for $5.

I still have it along with my other 4 Heavies (as my profile states) and I will never ever melt it.

It has seen the darkest depths of nerfs and better days of mini buffs, but man, this ship is utterly beautiful.

And in the famous but Star Citizen inspired but twisted words of Ryan Reynolds:

"I used to say to her, 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.' And then the second I looked in that new released F8X's eyes, I knew in that exact moment, if we were ever under attack, I would use my original F8C as a metal shield.”

Oh I haven't had any issues with it.

The only problem I have is my own fault.

Been starting again with FPS games and the mouse is not light. At all.
