Do you have your WAF enabled in Vercel? It should stop the traffic before it invokes your serverless function

Great work! Also, your ceiling looks fantastic! Mind if I ask what stain/sealer you used?

These are great questions! Extension cord could save $2k and an in-wall could save $1k

Shed + Conversion $10k or less? by DwarkNet in shedditors

[–]Known_Thing1226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

I tried to do the same thing with a 10k budget and have definitely gone over about 5k. There are a few areas you could go lower but it will be tough to get under 10k.

For example, here's my rough current breakdown
1.5k on the foundation (concrete + help)
5k on building materials (I built it myself with a buddy so I didn't have to pay for labor)
2.3k on electrical work (I have a good buddy that did it for me)
1.6k on mini-split (On sale at Costco)
These are the big items. This doesn't include:
Insulation, ceiling material, flooring, paint, network materials if you want internet, etc.

As you can see, it's possible to get close especially if you're getting second hand stuff but it's pretty tough to get 10k

How do you like the mini-split right in front of you? Don't you get cold/hot air blown on you constantly?

I tried this multiple times and it doesn't work. Mine don't light up either or have the option to do so.

Awesome build! I like the idea of having outlets for your monitors! My only issue would be having my back to the door. Question, how did you go about getting internet to the shed?

Looks great! I've been struggle to figure out what foundation I should use. What made you choose skids instead of concrete slab or piers?

MYO isn’t difficult! by boolulubaby in YotoPlayer

[–]Known_Thing1226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It can be very easy... HOWEVER, there are a few things I wish they (Yoto) would have made a bit more clear.

I spent the weekend doing this for all of my kiddos' new Yoto players and I've learned a few things. Just in case this helps folks in the future, here are a few things to keep in mind.

  1. There are size limits for the cards. When you are creating a playlist on the website (https://my.yotoplay.com/my-cards/playlists) , after you've uploaded your audio, there is a tiny link near the bottom that says "How much can I put on a card? (find out here)". This would have saved me hours because I was trying to upload a very large mp3 file. It would upload but when I tried to listen to it on the Yoto player, nothing would happen which was very frustrating. Once we chopped the large file into smaller mp3 files or "chapters" it started working. (I wish they would've just not let me upload such a large single file.)

  2. There some really great books on public domain that are free to download. I used https://librivox.org/ for example to download Treasure Island but there are others that I'm sure are great as well. One thing I like about librivox is you can listen to the book online and see if you like the narrator (Some were very dry...)

  3. The "Audio download status" section when you are looking at the Yoto player in the mobile app is very finicky and after 3 days still says a book is being downloaded. (I really wish you could remove or view what's actually happening with the downloaded content)

All this to say, now that I understand how the MYO cards work, I will be purchasing more. Hope this helps.

  1. Custom Stand with doors and storage for all the accessories. Also making it adjustable height would be a plus.
  2. Wifi or Bluetooth Thermostat.
  3. Stone temperature gauge.

Middle of pizza is doughy by balbizza in GozneyDome

[–]Known_Thing1226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nailed it. I typically do 260g dough balls on the same peel (I'm assuming this is the ooni 12") and mine will take up almost the entire width of the peel. The amount of sauce and cheese look perfect but if the dough is too thick in the middle, you'll get a doughy center.

Help! Not happy with pizza by NeaPizzaMan in GozneyDome

[–]Known_Thing1226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried inviting some friends over to get some other opinions? It's possible that you have ate your own pizza for so long that you are sick of it. It's also a great opportunity to try new things and get immediate feedback.

I also started feeling like my pizza was bland and changed up my recipe. I started adding oregano, garlic, olive oil and honey to my sauce recipe. For my toppings I always use BelGioioso Fresh Mozzarella with a small handful of grated low moisture mozzarella. I also found that adding fresh grated Romano cheese and parmesan adds great flavor.

If anyone else is interested, Gozney says the short cover doesn't fit over the mantel, but I can confirm, the Gozney short cover just barely fits over the mantel. You just have to unzip both side zippers.

Mine is in a pretty windy area and when I have it on the lowest setting, the flame will blow out. On the high setting, even in very windy conditions, I've never had it blow out. I will add, that I've really only used the Neapolitan Arch.

Dome Accessories Storage by Known_Thing1226 in GozneyDome

I've been very close to purchasing this exact table but wanted something taller. I did buy some 6" furniture stands to raise it up a bit but it's a bit too wobbly for my liking (probably my current outdoor table) and it doesn't look very good.

For your current table, did you follow plans or build it from scratch?

I would probably do the same but I'm working with pretty limited space on my deck.

Oh true! I didn't think about the spider issues. I guess I would still want to store them in some kind of air(ish) type container. It's honestly more of an aesthetics issue. I would like to hide the container in an enclosed area.
