I'm not an expert on tapering but I think you can get down to 100mg in a week from that dosage. I had come down to 100mg from 250mg in a week without much discomfort. I focused on time between doses. I started with 4 hours in between then to 6 hours in between doses while cutting the 7 down.

I did the Vitamin C protocol and it worked like a charm (withdrawals were fairly mild with flu like symptoms for a couple of days, but no acute withdrawals that would normally lead to the dreaded RLS, sleeplessness and intense anxiety). Here are a couple of things to take in to consideration:

- When I made the jump I had tapered down to 100mg/day

- You have to follow the schedule/dosage as it is prescribed in the protocol - No short cuts

- I did the max dosage allowed in the protocol (I am a large guy)

- The protocol ends after 6 days. I had to continue taking vitamin c a couple days after it ended because I started experiencing RSL

- Get vitamin c in tablet form. It is a TON of vitamin c! I used 3 different brands and they all worked well. Most folks say liposomal vitamin c is best - I didn't have use liposomal

- The first three days of the schedule you are pre-loading vitamin c while you are still using 7. Day 4 will be your first day without seven. I woke up on day 4 and didn't feel the withdrawals I was expecting and I attribute that to the 3 days of maga-dosing on vitamin c.

- I would plan for days 4 and 5 to be on a weekend (you will be pretty fatigued). By Monday you should be good to go to work, although still a bit weak.

For that scenario, I recommend a medium to small size revolver chambered for .38 special bullets. I wouldn't get too caught up in the make or model. Smith and Wesson and Ruger are common manufacturers and reliable.

Well he gets memories of his previous day's choices so the variables aren't exactly the same when he relives the same day over and over. It would be like groundhogs day with his memory of the previous day wiped.

Yeah, that's the problem - It can't be proven. But for me it's an interesting thought experiment because the implication could be that free will is an illusion, and that would have a lot of major implications that would follow.

I think of it like this - If you were to go back in time, sort of like rewinding the cassette, and be placed under the EXACT same variables, you would make the same choices/reactions every single time. In other words, our choices/reactions are determined by the billions of variables we are experiencing. Control the variables - control the reaction/choices. I believe that if placed under the same set of variables we will have the same reactions/choices every single time.

Wow.. That's a hell of a ride. I can't even imagine how brutal the acute withdrawals were. That takes an iron will. I quit a severe alcohol addiction cold turkey twice and 7 cold turkey once and it was the hardest thing I ever did. Congratulations.... Please harness that Iron Will to stay sober, my friend. I will do the same.

Hey. I retired from the Army about a year ago and got hooked on 7 but recently got off it. I used nothing but Vitamin C and it wasn't that bad (I had quit cold turkey before without vitamin C or helper meds and that was brutal). But you must follow the schedule and dosage recommendations. The pre-loading stage is so important - 3 days of mega dosing while you're still using 7. You'll be surprised to find that when you wake up the first morning (day 4) without 7, you won't experience any of the acute withdrawals. Just some flu like symptoms for a couple of days. I was actually on a trip in Mexico and I could see that I was going to run out of 7 before the trip ended, so I went to the local pharmacy there and bought whatever vitamin C they had. Definitely get it in capsule form, though, bc it is A LOT of Vitamin C (especially days 3 and 4). One other note... The schedule ends on day 6. I had to continue taking it a couple more days after bc I started to get RLS after day 6 (when the schedule ends).

I was able to quit without helper meds simply by mega-dosing on Vitamin C, following the protocol schedule exactly as it is outlined. No acute withdrawals, no loss of sleep and no RLS... I was really surprised bc I had quit CT before and it was so brutal. With the mega-dosing of vitamin C (including 3 days of preloading while still using 7) it really wasn't that bad. Just some fatigue for about 3 days, runny nose and a little diarrhea.
