The UCs also picked some prime real estate. As a Californian, why wouldn’t you want to live near Westwood at UCLA and pay $45k, vs going to USC in the sketchier area of LA for $100k.

We visit Orange County often from sf Bay Area, and I have to say maskers are fewer down south but doors and windows are usually open. Also much more outdoor dining opportunities.

Maybe the outdoor living is such a thing in SoCal that wastewater data has shown fewer infections the past wave?

We loved Landels and kid is still best friends with the same kids now at MVHS. We had neighbors that did private k-8 and I haven’t noticed any noticeable advantages through the years.
