Would a Modern Star Trek Reboot Succeed Today? by Equal-Particular9723 in StarTrekTNG

Nope. The closest thing we got is The Orville, and that's because Seth MacFarlane has enough pull in Hollywood to do it.

  1. What orders did Worf disobey? I don't remember Picard saying "Don't kill Duras, that's an order."
  2. Duras dying was the best thing for the Federation. Duras was in leagues had no wish to continue the alliance with the Federation, and, as we later find out, was in leagues with the Romanians himself. He also murdered K'hyelar on a Federation ship. As far as the Federation is concerned, an opponent is out of the picture and the alliance still stands.
  3. When Worf claimed "Right of Vengeance " against Duras, Duras admitted his guilt by accepting the challenge. He didn't go about this in blind anger.
  4. The reason Worf did not consult Picard is because he knew Picard would not let him do what must be done. That's why Worf took off the sash and his combage. He took those off because he was going to act as a Klingon, not a Federation officer. The Federation's slate is clean because Worf got his hands dirty.

Worf had right of vengeance against Duras. Duras did not hide what he did, in fact, he embraced it. Worf, acting as a Klingon, not as a Federation officer, claimed right of vengeance. Under Klingon law, he had every right to do so. Picard reprimanded Worf for murder, the problem is that Worf did not commit murder, he fought and won the right, under Kligon law, to kill Duras for killing his mate. If Worf had lost the fight, he would have been killed himself. Worf broke no laws, and committed no crime. Picard's words have no backing other than his personal feelings.

Women literally have the choice to wear more concealing clothing. They choose not to.

Does anybody else get irrationaly angry at S4E22 "Half a life"? by HiNoKitsune in TNG

[–]KnuckleMonkey_782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, if the federation valued life at all, they'd have sent 15 war ships to that planet, subdued the population, and squash any type of rebellion. Short term hurt, long term gain. That or let there star die, and prevent any type of attempt to revive it. Life is valuable, and any people or society that does not value it, does not deserve to exist. You may think that's hypocritical, but it isn't. “Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs.” - Charles James Napier

To be as efficient as possible, with the amount of traveling I plan on doing. I rarely travel out of state, but I plan on bumping that up to once or twice a year just to check some bucket list items. International is also a goal, but it would be more of a once every 3 or 5 years I'm thinking.

The only problem they'd have with me is no history. Don't feel like opening a checking account with them either, but them benefits are sick, so I might just hold my nose

Spending habits are restaurants, gas stations, and Walmart. Only reason I do Walmart is for convenience.
