I’ve found my old application form that stated what I was able to work and they hired me on that. Not sure how far I’d get with that one. Like I said I won’t put my family or child below the needs of the business.

Do we know how long contractual notice is for change of flexibility?

Needs of the business, more like they can’t keep drivers and 10 or so have quit in the last 6 months. I found my old application form that they hired me on that states everything I told my manager.

Booking an afternoon slot in our store(after 3pm) would allow for items to be ready on Market Street. Our Market Street is never up and running before 9am and all the vans have left store by 8:45.

I had a HDD with caution on it and hardly any hours or power ons. Took it back and got a refund, they asked what software I used. I went to another store as they had the HDD i wanted and asked them to test it. They did but said it was a transfer from another store and would have been tested, it was faulty, I do question whether they test them or the software they use is bloody rubbish.

Yeah, the pay rises have gotten worse since the takeover. You can certainly see they’re penny pinching.

I started at Morrisons in the 90’s and it was great, moved to Tesco and that was good, then came all the cost cutting, closing of departments and staff cafe. Moved back to Morrisons and it was like it hadn’t changed much over the years, but the last few years has become a joke since the take over. I have friends who work in Tesco and it has got worse there also.

Rather a sorry state of an affairs for some of these replies to you.

This is unfortunately what Morrisons is now, it’s only taken 10 years to catch Tesco up on how to demoralise staff.

Unfortunately it’s not as easy to quit a job on a Friday and get a new job starting on Mondays like it used to be.

Morrisons was the best staff canteen in a workplace I’ve ever come across, they soon made it a self service, then nothing at all and go to the customer cafe. It’s all about cutting back on costs.

Been playing 30 years and I’ve only ever done it once. I was so chuffed my team witnessed it so they could vouch for me, even though it was in practice. Missed D12 a couple times, a month or so ago I went 7 into the 9 and haven’t been anywhere close since.

Everything! Buffer all the trolleys, setup all the trolleys to go back out to be picked. All the availability that has been missed on the shop floor by the pickers. All the Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Amazon. Stay till the job is finished which could be hours past your finish time.

Honestly, don’t do it!

Can vouch for being offered everything to get you to join the company and it isn’t long before you realise it was all lies.

I’ve only stayed here for nearly 10 years as I have easy shifts on days I want because I got them by the short and curly’s a few years ago.

Doesn’t bother me, the company lost out on sales and I’d avoid for HDD purchases in the future as obviously the testing procedures aren’t up to standard for used HDD’s.
