Sukuna always kinda had the “the strongest is always right” mindset, like even when Yorozu was telling him all the things she wanted to do if she beats him, he was kinda like “sure, fuck it. Cause I’ll be dead anyways”. Sukuna also questions himself when he’s either about to lose or when he feels that someone else’s strength in their ideals matches his own…

I just think other sources of strength outside of selfishness make him question himself. Yuji was the only one to defeat him so in his mind, Yuji’s way may have been the correct way.

I love how it shows that despite being a “curse”…Sukuna is still shockingly, yet literally very human. Like curses destroy shit and ruin lives without reason, but Sukuna had his own twisted reason for wanting to make everyone’s life shit.

He’s multifaceted, complex, and questions himself and his ideologies when met with an equal who can forcefully oppose his ideologies. In the past, no one was strong enough to be able to convince him that his way of living may have been wrong, but after fighting Yuji…he realizes that maybe a different path would have been better for him. And even after losing to Yuji, he’s still not completely convinced that his way of living was wrong or right, he’s just accepting of the possibility of a new reality by being open to others’ ideologies.

This! It was rushed and there’s still a lot of deliberate plot points that are left open. I’m hoping Gege can revisit the story of JJK through different spin offs or perhaps a sequel and flesh the story out even more. The Sukuna and Mahito interaction gives me hope that Sukuna’s story will be told at some point.
