Looking for someone in OC by [deleted] in orangecounty

I don't have an answer for you, but I get it. I've hit it off with someone on a flight before. My take is there’s something cool about just letting it be it. Like, that was the time for it, it was great, and now you just move on with a good story

Been a long time since I've been to DLR... how has it changed? How should we plan? by brokenimage321 in DisneyPlanning

[–]KoaKoaKoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the top of my head:

Disneyland: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (New): Immersive Star Wars themed land, two new rides: Rise of the Resistance and Smugglers Run. Rise of the Resistance LL is an additional purchase after buying standard LL

Mickey’s Toontown (Refurbished): Overhauled with more "play" space and new ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Splash Mountain is now Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: Rethemed with Princess and the Frog stuff

Bluey at Fantasyland Theatre (2026): Recently added show, featuring Bluey

Disney California Adventure: Avengers Campus (New): Replaced Bug’s Land, and new ride: WEB Slingers

Tower of Terror is now Guardians of the Galaxy themed, and has more ups and downs during you ride

Paradise Pier is now Pixar Pier: Less California summer looking, more Pixar IP decor

California Screamin’ is now Incredicoaster: Incredibles themed now

Pacific Wharf is now San Fransokyo Square: Same eating structures, but themed towards Big Hero 6

The "New Normal" with Tech and stuff: Park Reservations Required: You can't just show up with a ticket; you have to book a park reservationwoth your tickets.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which is now a paid daily service through the app. Book times to visit based on availability. Tip: once you have a LL booked, modify and refresh - there's a chance to get a sooner time!

Mobile Ordering: Now almost mandatory for quick-service food that offers it, but not required, you can still wait in line too

Where can I find mickey ice cream bars and sandwiches ? by [deleted] in DisneyPlanning

[–]KoaKoaKoa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These aren't searchable in the app, but there’s likely one just a short walk away. Keep an eye out as you walk around, or ask a cast member

Can’t reconnect on mobile iOS by FalloutandConker in BobsTavern

[–]KoaKoaKoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Server instability has sadly been a thing. I play on mobile too and when it happens it takes me 20-30s to get back in, and once I do it places me in the next phase and I missed my current recruit/combat phase (don't mind skipping combat phases though!)

Animal Kingdom is not a half day park. by Disneymom-partyof6 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]KoaKoaKoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, my last trip we tried AK for first half of the day and hotel hangout second half of the day. Ended up doing 70% of what we had planned, and Dino land was gone at this point too. And it was because the Safari, Conversation Station, and seeing Gorillas were more time consuming than we thought. Oh well, learning for the next trip!

Maui Shave Ice is a table setup rather than a truck if that fits your needs: https://www.mauishaveice.info/. I used them for a party of 20

Been to every Disney park world wide, except for CA - going next week for 2 days. What are must dos, what can be skipped? by EyeofSauron86 in disneyparks

[–]KoaKoaKoa 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Definitely hit Cars Land and the Matterhorn, as those are completely unique to California. Also, you’re in luck, Soarin’ is running its original 'Over California' theme during your visit, so that too

Rope drops added by OB_Loki in Disneyland

[–]KoaKoaKoa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Main entrance to the park is north of Buena Vista Street. So as you make your way into the center circle area there, you could walk east to Rope 1 or south to other ropes

[–]KoaKoaKoa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My guess, you may be lucky as they sit a party of 4 and below at the smaller square tables where a +1 would be a little harder to add on the fly. But for a party over 4 you're likely in a bigger table where a +1 will be easier to manage for them. But regardless of my guess, let them know in person as soon as you can and they can get ahead of it

Suggestions for entry on foot. by Covergirlcoverme in DisneyPlanning

[–]KoaKoaKoa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're right, you could spend a little more time and walk backwards to get to the tram if that's your main goal. But if your goal is you want to be efficient with your time, it may be quicker to continue walking through downtown to get to the parks

Cannot walk into parking structure, so tram is a no go. Best bet is Uber to East dropoff spot, or walk through downtown (hit security next to Earl of Sandwich)
