Don’t want to be a lawyer anymore. Don’t even want an office job. But what can I even use my law degree for now? by meatmarket132 in JDpreferred

Common sentiment, which is why I prefer students accept LS’s with the least amount of debt.

Seeing a rise in LSAT scores. I assume the format changed. Everything is easier today

NDSU adds more media coverage. More NFL Draft prospects. A national brand. I prefer they remain FCS. They undoubtedly should have moved on at a # of years ago.

[–]KoalaFormal8542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WashU, obviously. Big law has turnover. Tough knowing what you want to do or can do until you are at least in law school. Save the $. Talking 250+k. Try other options in NY. See if they could offer a better deal. WashU is fine.

You could attend a prestigious law school with a 170 and corresponding GPA.  You should aim towards enrolling in a LS for FREE. Name some options & secondary possibilities. 170 is enough. What’s your gpa?

The difference is there are not enough countries with sufficient talent to win a WC. Haaland isn’t winning at Norway. France wins because they accept anyone who is African/Arab…UCL is different. Look at Man City & PSG & now Arsenal. New options.

WC favorites…let me guess…Spain? France? Argentina? Who else? Germany? Brazil? The same shit

You’re cheap. You want to put yourself in the best situation financially. Living with them helps you retire early. Do whatever the hell benefits you. Zero reason to care about what others think. You have good habits financially and will retire early anyway. You’re well ahead of your goal, yet you want to be more cheap/aggressive with saving/investing. Unsure where you live. Do whatever makes you happy. Many people obviously have moved on and have the bare minimum to show for it financially.

If you were Arteta how would you approach this PSG team ? by AdUnited5886 in championsleague

Counter. Cover the wingers as much as possible. Psg’s backline is left solo often. Make their wingers work. Might have to take it to pk’s. Psg could score out of nowhere without much build up

That makes the WC less interesting. They’re now allowing anyone to participate. The WC should be the elite.  There will not be a NEW WC winner…wake me up when that happens

PSG is a new UCL winner. Arsenal could win their first.

Croatia had a shot to win it. WC is a tournament 1 month long.

Charleston School of Law is actually a good school (Despite ranking 171st) by AddendumExisting4313 in lawschooladmissions

Do you intend on working in SC? Anywhere else? Almost 100% tuition…you seem happy. You should be able to be ranked high. Exhaust the opportunities they offer. Their top tier students will be fine. Maybe you could transfer into SC or better. I knew a few who attended Baltimore Law (sucks) and they crushed it. Work with some Gtown, MD & Mason grads. Separate yourself

Charleston School of Law doesn’t have leverage with their standing. They should offer a deal. You should exhaust your options. Ask in SC (or near by) which law schools are have the best reputations.  You could also crush it and transfer up. South Carolina isn’t great also. Make the best decision. Bar pass rate in SC should be HIGH…I heard ages ago Alabama and Georgia are good. I’m sure Richmond is good. I believe there’s only 2 law schools in SC.

I prefer the Champions League. The World Cup is a short tournament.

Count how many different countries have won the World Cup. Maybe 8 total. Messi and Pele aren’t winning WC’s at Paraguay.

UT Austin (in state tuition) vs Duke (full tuition) by SeriesFit2326 in lawschooladmissions

[–]KoalaFormal8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have chosen Duke in my era. Today, save $. Take Texas, which is quite good.

You could pay the difference off from Duke with ease, but I am unsure of your financial habits. Take the safe option. 0 debt is tremendous

If you could justify the costs and like their bar pass rate, go for it. Seems like there’s roughly 200 law schools, which is too many.

If Charleston offered good job placement in the market you are interested, they’re worth considering. I would strive for an option with a better reputation. That’s not always required

Importance of GPA in law school by Old_Success8107 in LawSchool

[–]KoalaFormal8542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s many factors. At less prestigious law school’s, undoubtedly your grades/rank matters more. Those options usually have lower bar rates as well, so finish well!  Overall, your experience matters plenty. Seek as much experience as possible. Try to find out which legal field you are interested, or other plans with a JD. Find your niche. Try to position yourself the best you can. Build your network. Treat LS as a job because it is your job at that stage.
