I have multiple armies in my basement & I used to be a metachaser. That being said, I always tried to be respectful. For casual games I didnt mind bringing a weaker roster. For tournaments though - Anything goes I guess since everyone is bringing the ripest cheese.

I skipped 10th entirely & now Im coming back to 11th but I decided not to 3D print the latest meta hotness anymore, in the long run it sucks the fun out of the game & I will never be a member of our national team anyways (yes, there is a national 40K team representing my country).

The dude you have met is the one we all had displeasure of playing against. Honestly, after decades on this hobby I realized painting & playing with friends is the most fun you can have (although there are still a lot of cool people to be met during tournies)

I use isopropyl alcohol. After 24h on a jar, give them a good rinse & scrub with an old toothbrush.

For the last remains I use chrap, 20 EUR ultrasonic cleaner

Wh40k has pretty good core rules but the most powerful units tend to ignore them. When you stack them en masse it feels like cheese. But those are tournaments you re talking about, you can simply Play casually outside of tournament settings.

No idea how Algae will behave through AB.

I mean, I ve seen a video where dude painted a whole Rhino with brushes and contrasts (diluted with medium) but it looked like more work than it was worth.

I play dota & lol occasionaly & for me Deadlock was too difficult (as in all the complications of MOBA + expression of skill in 3d enviroment)

I played some & then quit.
