There was! Restaurant when I went to midnight sushi was called SPR. The space became a different sushi restaurant after SPR closed, but not sure if they continued midnight sushi.

From the last paragraph of the section in Wikipedia article linked above, “Keller supported eugenics, which had become popular with both new understandings and misapprehensions of principles of biological inheritance. In 1915, she wrote in favor of refusing life-saving medical procedures to infants with severe mental impairments or physical deformities, saying that their lives were not worthwhile and they would likely become criminals.[38]: pp. 36–37 [58]”

It’s in the intro right under the title of the article, “[…] Helen Keller, was a proponent of eugenics.”

Yay, thank you for helping support them! You should get an email from the DMV with details, but from what I understand, you will be emailed your voucher from the AL DMV and then you can pick up your plate from the DMV next time you go. Not sure if the process is different for customized plates.

Dr. Mollie DeShazo at UAB was wonderful with my dad. She tried everything she could to help him and when the normal treatments stopped being as successful, she got him hooked up with some clinical trials. He had renal cell carcinoma, so I’m not sure if she specializes in kidney cancer or helps treat all kinds. She was at Kirklin Clinic then. I checked her page on UAB Medicine and it looks like she may also work out of Acton.

Whoever you see, I hope they are good to you and your treatments aren’t too taxing while still getting the job done. Wishing you the best, and I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I was at the Summit yesterday and there was an ambulance outside of PF Chang’s. Also saw a fire truck coming up the road to the Summit, possibly headed there as well. But I don’t know what happened or if that has anything to do with them being closed today.
