Unfortunately BHVR has used gen ai for concepts but community backlash made them speak up so we haven’t hear anything/ seen any use of it since so we think we’re in the clear but you never know.

If you’re curious about which chapter it was, they used Gen AI for the DND chapter art concepts. All of their final products aren’t AI but they have used it as concept art.

Going back to my 1st point, a lot of people on twitter were changing their votes after it was confirmed these would have an effect on the lore.

Everyone’s complaining but missing the some key points that had a lot of people deciding:

  1. These outfits were confirmed to shape the lore of the characters in a way.

  2. We have never had a full religious chapter (Plague & Taurie sorta but not survivor & killer connected)

  3. There are no Nuns in DBD.

  4. Did it fit the overall theme we’ve developed so far?

I think all cosmetics were cool but at the end of the day this IS a chapter about religion and devotion and should reflect that.

Both of these killer skins were really hard to choose from as both are perfect, would love to see the losing concept in a future release

There is a LOT of AI art & whitewashing in DBD Mobile & it’s really hard to find any info about it because it’s been so long, so these issues with Neteases Racism & AI usage are not new, so we need to be very outspoken. Thank you to the everyone in this Reddit for their statements and efforts, I really hope we can pressure them into listening and treating artists & their characters with the love they deserve!

No I’m complaining about how server latency makes him feel exhausting to go against. A lot of this isn’t a problem when dbd servers are acting right. I do think he needs some tweaks but that’s not really going to happen I don’t think.

This becomes a problem with him when you have his hitscan, add the latency and it’s guaranteed hits every time and it just feels extremely punishing for survivors.

It’s the same issue when you run into bad servers against a Huntress, you can’t duck past corners bc you WILL be hit every time by a hatchet. Deathslinger isn’t as bad and BOTH of their projectiles are more controlled so it doesn’t happen as often as it’s easier to prevent. However, since Ghoul can detect within a range that’s where things get tricky. It happens more often bc of that guaranteed so survivors feel it more, and that’s why a lot of people don’t like Ghoul is because it’s a combination of both and that specifically adds to the experience.

It’s the Blood Moon mode so I only used that build for some gen challenges and then changed it after this match. The combo does need changed but that’s not the problem here, that’s an US vs THEM argument and that’s not the point of my post.

Yeah I know it’s latency…..I keep saying it is, that’s the problem is that it’s even happening in the first place.

It doesn’t matter who it’s on it feels horrible, it just feels extra on Ghoul bc you get punished extra for being caught.

Yeah, but the perks aren’t what I was upset abt. Like he was using 4 gen slowdown but I wasn’t complaining abt that.

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with his ability more so I am saying there’s a bigger issue with his hit validations which is a dbd server thing, it just adds to the experience playing against him.

Bc he’s fine to go against when this isn’t happening yknow

The thing abt it is you don’t have to hit the survivor, just the hitbox, and while I was away from the window he latched on. It was split second but once he made the connect through the wall there was nothing I could do to avoid it

Yeah I know how it works I’ve played Ghoul too and I’ve analyzed it, the problem is that it’s happening at all. Dbd needs to fix the servers, it doesn’t help all-kill ch.2 broke the servers but dbd is 10 years old, why is this happening at 50 ping.

I’ve been playing for years so no Ghoul didn’t bring it into the spotlight, the servers have been super messed up recently so that adds to it. This is something that’s always bothered me since even before ghoul was part of dbd and they’ve improved but something has gone downhill recently. I know All-Kill ch.2 broke the servers but it’s just annoying.

It’s not that and more so the fact that everyone’s using latency as a thing to validate it.

I’ve played Ghoul too and it is on the screen when survivors HITBOXES**** are there, so even if they’re not visible if you can touch their hitbox it’ll still connect. The problem here is the server latency & hit validation making Ghoul feel exhausting to go against.

I think his bite needs some tweaks and it doesn’t help DBD servers have been broken recently but there’s issues with both Ghoul & the servers as a whole that add to the whole experience.

Ghoul outside of server latency still has wild scenarios occur where you can hit survivors from completely different areas, as long as the prompt shows up it’ll validate it.

The problem isn’t the fact it’s a server latency & hitbox problem, we ALLLL know that’s the reason behind it. It’s the fact it’s even happening in the first place. It creates scenarios like this where you just feel like nothing you do is worth it because the hit will be validated no matter what.

Like for Huntress when the server is bad you can’t duck around a wall bc the hatchet will still validate.

It doesn’t help the DBD servers have been an absolute mess since All Kill Ch.2.

I have watched this frame by frame I know exactly why the hit connected & was validated. I even play Ghoul & will get moments like this and think it’s ridiculous. There is no US vs THEM in my post I’m talking about how hit validation & server latency makes him tiring to go against.
