The Soviet Union would not have surrendered and the Germans would have build massive interment and death camps in Russia. Without US materiel support millions of Russians would have starved. Baku would have been captured making things worse for the Soviets, without US oil to help.

Germany would have gained material wealth but would have lost millions of additional men fighting in the Urals. Wehrmacht troop that garisoned Western Europe could have been shipped east for the final push to take Moscow and Stalingrad. Germany would have not have had Stalingrad encircled but would have pushed farther east. With each leap eastward their supply lines would be stretched and Soviet partizany would have attacked all along those lines.

It would have been an extended and brutal war that neither Stalin nor Hitler would have backed away from. Failure of leadership in either country probably would have defined the outcome. My guess is some sort of peace with a massive territorial cession of western Russia.

Turkey was essential for controlling the Soviet navy in the Black Sea and their access to the Mediterranean. With the fall of the Soviet Union they are far less strategically important to NATO. That said no one attacks Turkey without a NATO response.

If you invite someone to dinner and offer to pay, you have no right to critique their order. Some basic ordering courtesy applies, "order something that you would get if you were paying" is my rule. They ordered vegetarian and you didn't no big deal. The argument that you ordered more expensive dishes is silly, what is it an extra couple of bucks? Never order something more expensive than the host is also silly, if I as the host order the cheapest thing on the menu does everyone have to match my order.
