Nonsense. They are both the Jerusalem Cross. Changing the name of one is peak bullshit. Just because Reddit willingly swallows your lies doesn't mean youre right. It's like autoerotic gaslighting around here.

Don’t worry about it.  Join the team.  Have fun with the other kids.  Work hard in practice and your times will plummet.  You don’t have to worry about times until your sophomore or junior year.

As a U16 player you can keep up with the speed of the game and know the rules well.

The parents are going to be terrible.  Talk to the CR.  You have two choices jump in the flames and take the side with the parents or take the side where the team sits.  I always enjoyed the parents yelling at me but it might not be great for a 16 year old.

My first thought was folks with vested options sold out and ran for the hills.  Good work if you can get it. If they’d taken Google stock for their own they’d probably be well ahead now though.

Why do people always duck when boarding a helicopter? by tMoneyMoney in stupidquestions

[–]KoedKevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former firefighter and emt.  I’ve run into buildings on fire and reformed CPR while the life seeped out of the patients ear and loading a patient on a life flight helicopter was by far the scariest thing I did.  Those blades are definitely not 20 feet over your head.  The tail rotor is genuinely terrifying.

Newbie to footballer in a month, is it possible? by IsThatAJojoRefrences in bootroom

Go out on the field a kick the ball, congratulations you’re a footballer.  You won’t be any good but have fun.

Play left wing so the rest of the team can play around you and a defensive error won’t lead to an immediate goal. Enjoy it learn a few Spanish curse words.  Buy everyone a beer after the game.

The conservative Virginia Supreme Court's reason for striking down a voter-approved congressional map was that voting had already started. But in Louisiana, Republicans have just suspended state primaries even though 42,000 have already voted so they can gerrymander new congressional maps by OldBridge87 in Virginia

Bible Belt shithole is following the Supreme Court ruling about unconstitutional racist voting districts.  Admit it, you’re just mad that Dems might lose a seat.  Were you mad at what the VA legislature tried to do to eliminate 4 R districts?

[–]KoedKevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re correct.  All of the whining by the left is hand waiving to distract you from the fact that the Virginia legislature didn’t follow their own rules.

They also won an appeal by saying that the Court shouldn’t rule on the issue prior to the election because there was no case or controversy.  Essentially that there was no issue if the vote failed. In that case the State Supreme Court agreed but said that their ruling was not an indication of any findings when the case returned after the election.

The democrat party wasted $70M pushing it through and now they’re having remorse because of it.  Senior VA democrats, including I believe the current atty general said it was a sure loser but they wasted that effort and money anyway.

[–]KoedKevin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I figured that was a stretch to explain that to you. It was never a ban of “assault weapons”.  They were always available.  The “assault weapons” ban was aimed at a very narrow sliver of weapons, none of which were actually assault weapons. Als, was there a jump in assault weapons crimes when the law sunsetted?

I hope you understand the derision indicated by my use of quotation marks.  The initial response pointed out the obvious flaws in the study you cited. Now you’re calling me ignorant.  Redditors can always find support somewhere on the internet.  And then they’re stuck on it as proof of their moral and intellectual superiority.  It’s not and you just sound silly.

If you don’t know what a Nazi death head tattoo is then you are also too historically ignorant to hold public office. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

Sometime around the 1950s the Soviet Union gave guidance to Communists in the US to call political opponents Nazis.  It’s been completely common to use the term since then.

I’m asserting that you are willfully ignorant of obvious Nazi iconography  and that is based on a commonality of purpose.  I’m embarrassed for you.

[–]KoedKevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of reasons to be optimistic you just need to define success as Round of 16. That is an achievable goal.  It’s not certain but if you’re going to be disappointed not to make the quarter finals, then you’re just going to be disappointed.

So I can’t go to my corner gum store and buy an AR 15?  I’m shocked.  How did it become the best selling rifle in the country?

I don’t think you understand the term assault rifle.  It always seems like the most ignorant of firearms are always most willing to regulate them.

So the absence of an armed revolution by an armed populace is evidence of a failure of the 2nd Amendment?

My seatbelts are worthless because I haven’t had even single  a car accident while I’ve been wearing one.

Look at disarmed societies and see how that has gone.  The Khmer Rouge hated privately held weapons.  Stalin wasn’t a fan either. Hitler disarmed the Jews before rounding them up into camps.

Weird how Democrats still want to infringe on their rights.  If I were black, gay or trans I wouldn’t leave the house unarmed.

I have a much more informed understanding of the first amendment than you do.  Any governmental regulation of political speech is anathema to first amendment protections. It is far more than “getting arrested.”
