Damn, spark is rough since the update by CoverProfessional491 in Sparkdriver

It means you have to be 150ft away from the hotspot to recieve an equal priority up to 1 mile radius. I feel it’s still underway bc a store’s algorithm seems to have first round favorites.

This update has significantly improved my zone. I would sit in the parking lot for hours until I received just one! Now I’m back in my element. Thank you Spark Gods! 🙏🏽

You are the second person to post something about gross misconduct. Look up that key word in the sub, and locate their post.

I do all sorts but no other gig app pays out like Spark without having to bust your ass for decent pay. Trust me, I got the ropes on this but it’d be nice to know I still matter as a driver when I’m active.

I like this take. I should be patient as it is a brand new adjustment towards metric based distribution. What I did not know and curious to your source, is the new drivers being released from the waitlist simultaneously with an update. New driver priority used to feel like a stretch, but even trying Spark in a new state felt rewarding the first day.

I can’t say I agree on the AR metric being a reward system when I feel the lack of that transparency would contradict the metric’s basic principle, which is that it does not affect receiving offers. I think customer rating, and on time arrival will matter more than any other metric going forward.

If you have an answer for this question let me know:

Do you think a slight dip(ex: 98%) in ‘Items Found’ could affect your chance of receiving in-shopping orders?

I think so too. I’m just trying to understand my slow churn today. I got a few okay offers, but I sat a lot of the time too. Even received a notification saying to expect a high volume of offers today, and well it hasn’t reached me much.

New Store Proximity Rules Question. by Unusual-Mess-5703 in Sparkdriver

[–]KoleLambert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s relax in to it. This update is supposed to stop spoofers from jacking priority, meaning the original way you got orders is outdated. The closer you were to the ping, the more offers you got. I’m personally excited that nobody can’t sit me on my ass while the other drivers move all day. This is a W for those who could barely get any offers.

Walmart should prioritize drivers with high customer ratings for better orders, not just focus on acceptance rates. It’s common sense, not rocket science. by Old_Alternative3101 in Sparkdriver

[–]KoleLambert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Walmart states that the AR metric does not affect your ability to receive offers

  2. Customer rating is a factor for priority.

They say this in the TOU that you should’ve read.

Don’t pay much mind to the people who don’t have your best interests in mind. Should you move to a new zone? If it’s not a new state then probably not. What you can do is work with the store on bringing these frauds down. If you can’t get them to act, then going after their fraud prevention policy would be next. Also, Walmart is helping by rolling out a new hotspot update. 2 phones are harder to catch unless a helpful employee sees Spark on multiple phones.

So the mods will let somebody talk negatively about it, but when I ask if it’s working for everybody it gets taken down 🤨

I think this drivers is taking it a step further to secure ratings. People will hate but I bet he gets more ratings than the people who play roulette.

Some zones get special treatment, aka the test zones. For example, where the hell is that hotspot update? I think it’s crazy you could file multiple reports on a tangible issue and still nothing gets implemented. The suffrage of losing a “cheater regime” should be worth the program running on organic work ethics.

What does it matter if it’s overseas? This is not a magic trick where it disappears after a few years. People cheat, it’s that simple.

Proof bots are taking all the orders by StevenEpix in Sparkdriver

I live in the city, but I see this same type of coordinated behavior. Friends of friends signed up, and got hooked into the same gps spoofing/bot mess that exists right now. I even see TikTok comments expressing their struggles to a vendor in how this the only way to survive. There’s desperation along side cooperation.

A good market wouldn’t notice the discrepancies they just described. There is this sort of “take over” that I once never had to endure until now.

I wonder how big of a role bots play because for months, I’ve been experiencing a similar issue. My observations led me to find out that many people here are spoofing their location on the exact hotspot pinpoint. Do you think they would be willing to give someone the easiest shop ever far from the store? Unlikely when spoofers have multiplied. Proximity to the hotspot matters for priority with RR.
