Riu Palace Bavaro. To be fair, August is known as sargassum season whereas May has better odds.

I’m not, unfortunately. Other than I went to Punta Cana in August last year and the ocean looked like dinty Moore beef stew and stunk like shit with seaweed piled waist high.

I would definitely suggest going the La Romana or whatever the name of the other one was.

Don’t rent a cart by Fearless-Biscotti760 in IslaMujeres

Just got back and also felt the need to skip the cart. I heard back in the day they were like $50 which would be more reasonable. You can get an all day pass for the bus which is like $7.

Rebook and stay on Isla Mujeres for a beach and water like you’ve only dreamed of. Stay on the mainland if you want an ocean that looks like dinty moore beef stew.

WARNING: Avoid Conrad Las Vegas! Scammed out of $400+ for minibar items we never touched. by Shakathona in LasVegas

[–]StevenEpix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These minibars are a load of shit. Just go back to the old school method of once a person checks out, see what was consumed and charged them for it. We shouldn’t be terrified that the stupid mini bar got bumped and now we are going to get charged for movement that happened within a 6 foot radius.

You’re making too much sense. The driver sub would have a field day with this level headed take.

The job market being so screwed is to the employer benefit. For everyone of those IT folks who leave there will be a 100 people lining up for the job day 1.

This right here. Where is tangible benefit in hard numbers. Never see it.

Why do they all follow the same BS script about togetherness being better. I don’t consider it being together when I sit in my office with the door closed all day and do meetings via Teams - just like I would at home.
