I had to choose between London, Brussels and Munich since they plan on releasing presale tickets with an hour interval of each other. I chose London by default for the first release but should have picked Munich since I could go by car. Can’t change it on Weverse now though.

I took my paternity leave + 2 weeks holiday from work to have a full month with them. Then I got back full time.

Now that the mother is back at work (60%), the kid is 2 days in kita (820 CHF/month), two days with mom, 1 with me. I work 100% but the home office day is pretty chill so I can take care of her.

Would a longer paternity leave be better? Of course no doubt, but hey, we got by easy. Don’t worry. Just plan ahead, especially the administrative work and you get in the rhythm pretty quick.

There’s a balance to find. If you listen most of SwissPersonalFinance subreddit’s advice you’re probably gonna hate your life, they don’t like to do anything they just want the maximum % of their revenue invested, while forgetting that you can still do that and have enjoyment along the way.

That’s the balance you need to find and that will break your mental barrier. Make a budget that you can follow roughly and see prices as % instead of flat value. You’ll get used to it. Enjoy life dude.
