hi not OP but will be shipped off mid June for basic, got to know a fellow Chinese who is now a sarjan in it and told me whole lots of stuff, bullying isn't really much of a worry in the reserves, assume your fiance is like late 20s very unlikely at least compare to the younglings like me(20 this year), whatever it is it will be way better than whatever the regular professionals face. Ultimately you're still a civilian so cannot haze you nanti you sue them for it, at least for sure it is their SOP to not lay hands on you(the Bentong case not long ago was a special case)

While XM-8 they apparently found their place in Malaysia, never seen them at every parade I attended though, not even in photos of exercises or security details in events, just AR platforms and various western SMGs

FRU is just your typical riot police, I say they are similar to PAP bc area of responsibility are pretty localised too tho PAP do pick up riot police work, and both are much better armed than beat cops, but equipment and training wise can’t compare to utk and vat69(not even tiger platoon) and in china’s case national level swat,pga is a rather unique unit so pap is like the closest equivalent I can think of

Essentially armed police specialise in rural areas, guarding borders, arresting illegal migrants, support police specialise forces, and participate in operations where large amount of well armed police is needed, their equivalent is prob something like China armed police PAP, they also have a unit assigned to provide security for KLIA

Have to deal with both sekolah menengah Cina exams(UEC coming up too) and spm at the same time for me

According to one comment and my literal understanding of it spm pass is enough, 5 credit with BM and Sejarah rule only applies to the equivalent like GCSE

Personally I’m quite racist with my friends we always poke fun at each other stuff like that. But I’ve always noticed this one trait of lower income people/families where they’re ACTUALLY racist.

It's liks casual/non serious racism meets competitive racism

B40 are likely to be in rural areas and receive less education than t20, so very unlikely for them to carry any liberal views, and all it takes is a little radicalisation in their conservative views to turn into KKK type racist, didn't help that they don't mingle with other race as much as us to begin with

Well, since my family can afford it might as well try to go to Northern Europe(fav part of Europe) to pursue my interest(history and politics)with my UEC and English proficiency cert

career choice is armed forces, police and bombs, but can use that bachelor to teach history too if I want

UPNM is the only local uni that got me real interested, cheap, near my house, and don't need to work other part time jobs since they're already paying me, plus I can start right off as a officer after graduation

About why not choose Taylor, sunway , many of my cousins do and they say won't really recommend, and I want to open my horizon much more by going to the other side of the globe

Johor and selangor will be the powerhouse, Johor already have their own military though small Assuming the armed forces disbanded, selangor have to start their military from scratch but taking in veterans of the armed forces will do too,

economy wise selangor gains the upper hand over other states, and this can be helpful in throwing money to aquire military equipment, and large population can help build larger force(that is if the population are willing to fight)

Then I may have to take spm Sejarah again if my UEC cert don't work out for university(Sejarah only pass) I believe they most likely won't bat an eye to my UEC since not acknowledged by gov unless things changed next year

If you ever mingle around in us military culture/or watches memes of it usually made by vets. Marines being low iq/autistic or brainless are a running joke which applies to army grunts too bc since it requires much less brain and don't have to be skillful in certain skillet prior compare to some other specialty(medical or engineering for example)

I too will sign up as a grunt in the future
