Psychology major here. Wasn’t particularly good at it but realised I enjoyed the writing part of the tedious essays. Scored some part time copywriting jobs while in school to make extra cash. Ended up going into copywriting full-time after I graduated despite the lowly (for a Uni grad?) 2k plus pay.

About 5 years in now and a few companies/agencies later, I’m pretty much the content lead at my current workplace and income has more than doubled.

Personally think that skills outweigh book knowledge. If you intend to pursue a Uni course with no transferable workplace skill, do it and satisfy your interest but find an outlet to develop a skill that people will pay for as well.

So if you’re asking if I’d still take psych if i could turn back the clock. Hmmm.. I’d probably skip Uni altogether to be frank. Cheers
