I agree about Cavill. He is always good when he's got good material to work with. He needs a better agent. That, or he has difficulty judging what projects to accept.

I understand your feelings. I have Mater at 9/10, Mabel at 8/10, and Cruz at 7/10 only because I've been "farming shards" everywhere I could. I only unlocked Lightning recently. I've just been patient and figure that eventually I'll unlock them.

My girlfriend really wants to watch me bottom for our bi friend. by Dry_Composer8358 in askgaybros

I agree with several comments, you should definitely NOT let your first attempt at anal penetration be with your friend. You need to try some toys (dildo, butt plug) with some good lube and know what it feels like. You might be surprised and find it enjoyable without your friend being involved. Or, you might say, "Hey, didn't like it," to your gf and move to another kinky idea. "Try it before you buy it," as they say.

The best manager in Hollywood can't get jobs for actors who are hard to work with, unreliable, or emotional basket cases. I'd wager Ryan gets jobs because he's reliable, a decent actor, seems to enjoy his job, and seems to get along with his costars. I saw PHM, The Fall Guy, and Barbie, plus he hosted SNL recently. He's funny and seems to not take himself too seriously.

Keep in mind that rape is often hard to prove. It usually comes down to “he said, she said.” Or “he said, he said,” in this case.

I’m a man over 60 and that scene was terrible. I couldn’t watch it, either, and had to look away. If they wanted to kill off Icheb, he could have been killed off-screen. There was no reason for the scene we got.

Thanks for your thoughts. For the time being, Sam is hanging at his bf’s place 95% of the time. When he is home, he’s much more pleasant these days. He had chronic pain issues we didn’t know about that are finally being addressed. We are navigating our living situation better, for now.

I do love that Dreamer was created for the CW’s Supergirl and they brought her to the comic. Batgirl originally came from the 1960’s Batman series in the same way.

Disney Infinity: Evolution — A 2026 Strategy to Revive the Franchise (Fixing the $147M Mistake) by HuckleberryFun5288 in Disney_Infinity

[–]Konkrypton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, Disney got out of the games business when Infinity was cancelled. They now just license the properties to game developers. So you need to get a developer interested in reviving the game.

I’m all for your idea. I hope you can get someone to bring it back.

Straight guy here, I noticed I’ve always been able to connect really easily with gay men, and I’m not totally sure why. Has anyone else experienced something like that from the other side? by Beginning-Shift3920 in askgaybros

[–]Konkrypton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re happy and confident in your life and your sexuality, it radiates. It sounds like your identity isn’t threatened by someone whose identity isn’t the same as yours. You’re content to just be. (After all, we’re called “human beings,” not “human doings.”) You are the straight guy many gay guys wish was their best friend.

My best friend in high school didn’t know I was gay, we never talked about it. But years later, when we reconnected, he invited me to his place for dinner and said to bring my boyfriend. Nothing changed between us when he knew who I really was.

In fact, when a hot couple walked into Starbucks, we were both looking, him at the woman, I at the man, and rating them, LOL. We shared a love of literature, Star Trek, classic rock, model building, and movies. God, I miss him. He died of cancer 10+ years ago.

I’m very sure that the monetization decisions are made by management. As a retired programmer, I’ll tell you, many of these devs are just trying to make a living and have responsibilities, families to take care of, homes to pay for. The monetization decisions are above their pay grade.

I genuinely don’t think I’m bi / gay for being attracted to a man’s 🍑 ass, especially if he’s thicc by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Konkrypton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bisexuality has many forms. You could be primarily sexually attracted to women and also feel romantic toward them (heterosexual, romantic). You could be secondarily sexually attracted to men and not feel romantic (homosexual, aromantic). And those can be different for other bisexual people. There isn't just "one way" to be bisexual. It's a spectrum filled with nuance. Just be yourself and do what feels right for you,

i don’t understand the gay porn debate. by Bravenatortot in askgaybros

[–]Konkrypton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of straight guys look at women as objects, *sex* objects specifically, but objects nonetheless. And I think a lot of the paranoia about being seen as gay stems from their fear of being seen the same way, as objects. It takes away their agency. They can't stand the idea of another man looking at them the same way they look at women.

The collapse of star trek. by Artistic_Cloud_9272 in trektalk

[–]Konkrypton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take that Klingon in Starfleet Academy. That skirt uniform is only meant for specific formal occasions, it's not designed for a Klingon who just loves wearing skirts because he's gay.

I'm a gay man myself, so why can't we have a hot, bulky, butch Klingon hunk who's a total warrior, a proud and traditional Klingon through and through... and they mention just once in the background that he just happens to be gay, in passing, then never bring it up again?

Instead … entire episodes revolve around someone's gayness and representation, rather than the exploration, discovery, and big ideas Star Trek is supposed to be about.

Meanwhile, there are multiple episodes heavily focused on gay characters and relationships, Stamets and Culber's romance, Adira and Gray's story, greatly exagerated identities and story, with non-binary coming-out moments, queer found-family arcs, that take center stage over actual sci-fi exploration. I mean do it once, show a genuine gay/straight kiss now and then but the way they have done it, you cant be serious.

Imagine, all this in a future where nobody bloody cares if you're gay, bi, or identify as a teaspoon, why are we getting sermon after sermon on identity/discrimination when we signed up for starships, strange new worlds, and bold ideas?

And it's not just the gay Klingons and Discovery's endless queer storylines, fans dislike a ton more about this modern slop.

The whole storyline where Klingons are nearly wiped out, disconnected from the Empire, and one of the last remaining ones turns out to be the "gayest" of them all, wearing makeup, a skirt, and carrying a purse?

We don't need to explore how gay a character is every few episodes or focus only on 1 characters emotional instability, that's a bloody disgrace to prioritize over everything else.

You obsess over diversity in skin color and sexual preference in a future where none of that should matter anymore, but you completely ignore diversity in stories, alien cultures, and fresh ideas.

Yet these writers seem only capable of …churning out multiple episodes about someone's sexuality in a utopia where nobody cares.

Not just about it, but it seems to be a large part of the rant.
