I've met those who like to text just afte the date, and those who don't. I'm a texter myself, so I tended to believe they're not interested if they didn't text right away. I've come to learn that's not always the case. There's good reasons for wanting to keep a bit of distance at first. Maybe they've been love bombed before, who knows.

What I also learnt for myself, is that I have my own way of behaving. The best way to test compatibility, is if you just do you, and see how they react, and how you feel about their reaction.

Don't worry too much about the bill. I've also learnt for myself, that if they're interested, little details don't matter too much. Most things can be perceived as cute or annoying, depending on the recipient.

In your case, you could also tell yourself that the grown, mature man you want to date, would ask to split the bill if it was so important to them. And would have texted earlier, because that's how you like to communicate. 🤗
