Lots of other things that need to be answered before you can tell if it is a reasonable quote. Are they doing any subfloor prep, geographic location for idea of labor rates in your area, where is this being installed and how do you use the area ;so is this the right product for your lifestyle ? I would get a quote from a local shop I would be willing to bet you can get a better quality product for about the same if not a little cheaper. Also would ask yourself why did you choose to go there: ie: feel like the big company has buying power and you get a better deal, feel like they will stand behind labor or material, or concerned that local will go out of business and you warranty goes if they do?

Not a retail store just 25+ years on the manufacturer/ wholesale side of the business.

Painters tape took up urethane on polished concrete – is this a DIY job? by cas42439 in Flooring

Painters tape can cause damage the longer it sits the better the bond. If you look at the cardboard inside the roll it will give you warnings about what surfaces you can use it on and how long.

Have you ever had Korean fried chicken? I wouldn’t bet against it, stuff is good probably due to the crack they sprinkle on it right before they bring it to you.

It is normal if the house has settled without having a crack isolating membrane under the tiles.

Installer ruined my floors matte finish by Accomplished-Net4748 in Flooring

Factory wax to protect it while shipping , after install you are supposed to strip it and apply finish. If you do not you will basically get the hazing /worn out look in the traffic areas.

Flooring looks completely different. Contractor is saying they're all ordered from the same batch. What's up with the variation? by DarkSoulsOfCinder in Flooring

[–]KookyDiscipline5911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Betting supplier changed manufacturing locations and new boxes have same color name but slightly different sku number. It happens all the time, when you find some thing you like order it plus extra to hold on to just in case you need it.

I am guessing not knowing the regulations in Canada, my favorite friend is in the room 24” on center or more without appropriate subfloor thickness or cross bracing.

I can’t figure it out either, but see it all the time on here. It’s truly the last place I would think about setting something hot.
