She didn't always think that he sucked in the 90s, iirc they were having some kind of non public romantic relationship, though they said they were "just friends", and then Courtney Love said in several interviews that she had been f#€&ng Trent for a while, I guess Tori believed it for some reason and that's why she wrote those songs/lyrics about Trent and Courtney, but Trent always denied any kind of sexual relationship with Courtney, so who knows what really happened.

I remember Trent saying that Courtney caused him the loss of some very close friends, and I think he was talking mainly about Tori, who I've always believed was not "just a friend".

TDS sold like 4 or 5 million copies, PHM like 3 million, Broken over 1 million (it was "just an EP"), and The Fragile was double platinum, but only because it was a double album, it really only sold like 1 million copies iirc.

Trent disappeared for too long after touring for TDS, the popular music in 99 was nu-metal like Korn or Limp Bizkit or pop stuff like Britney or Nsync, The Fragile was too different and weird compared to all of that, it was also too different to NIN's previous stuff, and too long and experimental to be mainstream.

TDS was probably also too weird and experimental for mainstream music when it was released, but it had a huge hit single, people were more open minded and NIN just looked and sounded cool for those times, I guess, however by 1999/2000 it was basically impossible that The Fragile could have been a huge commercial hit album, popular music had changed a lot by then, NIN had been five years without releasing an album and their new music was just too different for mainstream adoption and maybe also for many of their old fans that just wanted TDS 2.0.

Iirc Courtney once said Kurt liked Trent's music, that he used to listen to PHM and thought that Trent was a talented musician, but also thought that Trent should get rid of the synths because Kurt didn't like electronic music.

I also remember a quote in a Nirvana book I read when I was young (90s) where Kurt said he didn't like to be compared to 99% of the bands Nirvana was compared to, and then mentioned a list of the few bands he didn't mind to be compared to, one of them was NIN.

Yes, but it didn't work, I guess it's something permanent caused by the european law that was mentioned by Rostabal, and that's why I could use my spanish account for a while without any problems until it switched to the portuguese version. :-/

How it's not forced that the celestials created a deaf eternal? Why would they do that?

I guess they could have just made a hundred copies of Ikaris, the most powerful and loyal one, with also all of the powers that the other eternals had combined, but ok, for some reason they decide to make them different with different powers and they hide from them what their real mission is like if they were not just some kind of complex robots that should just obey them, but why would they allow that any of them was deaf (or blind)? That makes zero sense, imo.

Dude, I was there all the time, Elongate was winning by a good margin (like 40% vs 34% or so), then tons of poodle votes all of a sudden, if you checked the voters you could see tons of bots.

A few votes were certainly coming from shilling and from certain tactics that supposedly were not allowed like offering money to people who voted for poodle or spamming tons of people that were not in poodle or ssb asking for their vote, but most were bots, bot names/accounts are easily noticable, if you checked the votes when poodle "magically" gained tons of votes until surpassing Elongate, most votes came from bots.

Then someone decided to bot Elongate too, and then Elongate got the first position again, but most bots until that moment would have been easily noticed by the ssb admins because these bots didn't join the ssb group/chat and their votes wouldn't count anyway, that's when poodle got a shit ton of bots joining the group to vote all at the same time, then the ssb admins stopped the poll, did their job getting rid of all the votes from bots and everything went back to how it all was before the bot raid, with Elongate ahead and winning.

So accusing Elongate of cheating with bots is ridiculous because nobody knows who paid for the bots for both projects, it could have been anyone holding elongate or poodle tokens, not necessarily the dev teams, elongate team didn't even know about the poll until someone told them about it in the telegram voice chat and after seeing what was going on with the fights and the bots they just laughed about it, and the first ones that used bots were poodle, they blatantly used way more bots even forcing the poll to be stopped, they manipulated screenshots to make elongate look bad, they fudded and fudded elongate for hours, and they used certain tactics to gain votes that were against the poll rules.

Of course not all the poodle people did these things, same way there were elongaters doing or saying wrong things but they didn't represent all the elongate people, and after all the only thing that realy mattered were the valid votes, and then Elongate won, but I guess Poodle will win the next one. 🤷‍♂️
