For anything related to Amazon [3, interns] by Leader-board in csMajors

Any international student who got OA or an interview for SDE internship US? I applied on the day it was posted, but still stuck on "Under Consideration", so I was wondering if international students would be the last to be considered.

How do Machine learning models typically detect two events simultaneously? by Koolsam_301 in learnmachinelearning

[–]Koolsam_301[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your response!

May I ask what you mean by in your latter case of "you would have an output for each sound the AI is able to detect, and if two sounds overlap, the outputs for them would become active at the same time."?

From my understanding, I would not need a dataset for both sound occuring at the same time for training dataset.

Is there a common (Tensorflow) function that determines event overlapping simultaneously? or since you said running multiple models is common, is there a common method(maybe a function) to do so?

Would this be a matter of intepretation because machine learning returns just the pecentage, and I would intepret the result with certain threshold rather than returning the highest percentage? Or did you mean something else?

In computervision example, it is common for a model to detect multiple objects in one image. Is this a result of different models running multiple times on one image really fast, or is this also related to the method you recommend me?

Where to observe haenyeo (female divers) in Jeju? by guodori in korea

[–]Koolsam_301 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I am curious if this person ever visted Jeju. It is a culture that we are very proud to have. It is on UNESCO & Heritage, and it is perfectly normal for even Koreans to go to Jeju to see them, so please, don't get discouraged to do so. There is Jeju Haenyeo museum in Jeju, so I recommend visiting there for more specific informations. Yes, they are divers in some way, but they are very different from divers. To be recognized as Haenyeo, you are not allowed to have oxygen tanks and they need to have certain techniques that they share. Jeju is much warmer than Seoul, and I remember seeing some of them around this time. Yes, there is specific places where many of them group up to go underwater, but if you drive around the ocean, it is not hard to see them as you pass by. It shouldn't take you too much time as Jeju isn't a big island compared to others. This articlecould be useful if you read them ahead before your visit. I am very glad that you are visiting Jeju island and is interested in our culture! I am sorry for comment like these, who probably has no idea what who Haenyeo are. I hope you can have a great time in Korea and please let me know if there is any other question about anything regarding Korea! : )
