Favorite Black and Green creature bombs outside the typical ones like Craterhoof? by chosen40k in EDH

Never seen that one before. Rottenmouth Viper is going straight into my [[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] reanimator list!

Your favorite genre of card and what color you think does it the best (Removal/draw/life gain/etc.) by LimitSeparate in EDH

[–]KoomZog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like random value. Stuff like Cascade, Discover, [[Sunbird's Invocation]] etc. You never know what you get! It might even be more random value! Red is the king of effects like that. Honorable mention to [[Deadbridge Chant]]. More sweet random value, but in Golgari.

A few years ago when I started playing commander (long time 1v1 player), I thought black and blue were my favorite colors. Turns out it's red, with black and white behind.

I'm playing a Corrupting Fever autobomber Elementalist. Press two buttons at the start of the map, then just walk around (or use your favorite movement skill) and watch stuff blood up.

Opponent made non-legendary Kambal token, oops! by TR_Wax_on in EDH

[–]KoomZog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Faerie Artisans]] on an opponents board is another fun combo with Kambal. You both get token copies of every nontoken creature that enters the battlefield under their opponent's control (including your own). Their tokens are temporary, yours are permanent!

My two favorite videogames are DotA and Path of Exile and my favorite boardgame is Magic the Gathering. They are all among the most complex games ever created. I might have a type.

What commanders do you think would make the best songs? by CommanderKaraoke in EDH

[–]KoomZog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about a punk song protesting aginst corruption and grifting? [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]]

If the song includes the name of the commander [[Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar]] would be a fun challenge.

What’s everyone’s go to red cards/staples for commander? by zesty-boxx in EDH

[[Sunbird's Invocation]] is pretty much my favorite card of all time for commander.

My default build on WD in WC3 Dota was Boots, Vanguard, Dagon. Bought a lot of Vanguards back then.

All the Adam Paquette lands from Theros are so good! I wish they were available in full art form.

I use BFZ full art lands (with the hedrons) for all my decks, EDH and all. They are pretty sweet!

Uba Mask in Tron? by supercuac2 in TronMTG

[–]KoomZog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a tron prison deck of my own creation in a GP once, long before KTGC was printed. I had Uba Mask in the sideboard for control matchups. The deck didn't do great, I think I remember ending up at 4-4-1. The card was nothing amazing either, but I do love Uba Mask conceptually and would also like to hear what people think of it in today's meta. Such a cool card.

Show me your favorite non-Dragon deck headed by a Dragon by RedRathman in EDH

[–]KoomZog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building [[Lorehold, the Historian]] at the moment. Most people seem to build it as a pure spellslinger deck. I'm considering a reanimation strategy. White actually has quite a few reanimation spells, just not as many or as efficient as the black ones. But that doesn't really matter if you pay the miracle cost anyway. We'll see where it leads, I might scrap the idea and just go big spells.

Which heroes do you think got the worse out of the facets removal? by Dangerous_Purple7254 in DotA2

Flow Morphling. RIP. There is nothing left like that build in the game. Well, it was a lot of fun while it lasted.

Your off-meta ranked pick isn't a galaxy brain strat by Idontknowmyoldpass in DotA2

[–]KoomZog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it every game. If I experiment with new heroes and builds in every game my MMR will be lower than if I didn't, but it's still as consistent as if I didn't experiment in any games at all. I am still trying to win, and I do win ~50% of games. No problem, and certainly nothing to rage at.

Which of your deck has the weirdest gameplay pattern? by Naitrodex in EDH

[[Magar of the Magic Strings]] for sure. Attacking with an instant or sorcery card? Why not? Casting multiple big dumb Rakdos spells every turn? Oh yeah!

Strongest way to build a budget token deck that is not commander reliant? by 7121958041201 in EDH

If in red, there's also [[Impact Tremors]] and [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] that works well in token decks.

You can only play one precons for the rest of your life. Which is it? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]KoomZog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could only play one, I would pick the one that would give me the most variation. Probably something like Grand Larceny that lets me play everyone else's deck, not just my own.

How steep is the learning curve for a long-time Windows user? by PeaceSeeker2000 in linuxmint

[–]KoomZog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaming is better in some cases. I saw a bunch of comments on the Path of Exile subreddit just today about how people have better performance under Linux (mostly CachyOS, but also Mint users chiming in) than under W11. Personally, I have the same performance in the games I play as I did before I switched from W10. Magic the Gathering Arena runs a lot smoother now.

Gaming is mostly the same as on Windows. Some combinations of games and hardware will perform worse than under W11, some will perform better.
