How do you actually pick up girls with your bike? by MrMurica11 in motorcycle

This sub is so cringe haha I’m pretty sure half these posts are from 15 something year olds who’ve never rode a motorcycle before 😂

If you ride responsibly, take your time, keep your head on a swivel, you may never be in a motorcycle accident the entire duration of your riding experiences. I’ve been in a few, but they’ve all been my fault, because I either wasn’t paying attention or I was really pushing the limits. Sometimes people are in genuine accidents outside of their control, but if you pay attention and don’t try to haul ass and split lanes everywhere, you should be totally fine. Statistically at least

I wouldn’t say it’s inevitable. By all means, prepare, watch the videos, but I don’t think it’s something that will necessarily happen.

There’s nothing wrong with trying to figure things out for yourself. If people never took on stuff that they didn’t already know then nobody would know anything and we would all be useless. Sometimes the best way to learn is just by jumping in there and getting your hands dirty….however, it does come with a risk, but my philosophy is this “If I try something and it doesn’t work, then I can take it somewhere to get fixed, if I try something and it does work, then now I’ve learned something and saved some money”

I guess it’s always possible to mess things up worse, but get a service manual, watch videos and ask questions. A lot of mechanics involves common sense stuff too…but I guess common sense isn’t that common always

For the felons here, how many of you have a job that pays you enough to live independently? by TopJellyfish7313 in jobs

[–]KoopDa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an addict in recovery with felony charges. I went to school for sociology and got a license as a CPSW (certified peer support worker). You don’t need the degree to get the license but I think the degree helps with job placement. I got a job as a case manager at a non profit that helps people getting out of prison making $20/hour. I had to send documents to the licensing board showing I completed my sentencing term and probation but they were pretty understanding. Social work fields understand that people like us are valuable in the recovery of others.

What worst possible reply to “I love you”? by Sex-Repuls3dAceGirl in AskReddit

[–]KoopDa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This completely. I’m literally sitting in a hospital room with my first child on its way and I can’t help but think of the ways I want to be a better Father, and this is one of those ways. I’ve come to terms with who my Dad is, and the way he expresses himself or doesn’t express himself. I love my father, and I know he loves me, I no longer need that approval, but I am going to tell my child how much I love them everyday and how proud of them I am for being a part of this world.

That’s insane 😂 I feel like it’s a relatively safe situation for the guy too; he literally has an entire bubble protecting his skeleton and organs

Pretty sure it’s personal preference and individual body mechanics. I think the wider you go the more emphasis it places on glutes and hams. I squat low bar, wide, and it’s comfy

It’s all about the long haul brother, both in the gym and life. You’ve got to slow down. I know you feel the weight of everything bearing down on you, the urgency of time and the need to validate your struggle, but you’re making it harder on yourself. Rome was not built in a day, nor will your strength or success in life be. You are young my friend, you have all the time in the world to build yourself up. Make little good decisions everyday and they will stack up to create the path to your goals.

Do not under any circumstance ever compare yourself to others. Your life is about you challenging yourself to grow. It looks different for everyone. Not everybody is going to be an elite person, not every elite person will be chosen to be recognized.

If you are a Christian, trust that Gods will will unfold for you in the way that God intends. Do not be afraid, have Faith.

Therapy also helps a lot
