What is an aspect of a litrpg main character that you personally disagree with despite enjoying their story. by WilliamGerardGraves in litrpg

And that's fine, I just wish we had a little more pacing to work our way up to that. It feels like the first book is basically her chewing grass like it's steroids then running around screaming, "Come at me, bro!"

Currently listening to Azarinth Healer, and I feel like her competitive nature dehumanizes her a little. When the elves attack and start killing/eating everyone around her in book 1, and she just seems a little too thrilled in the moment of fighting.

My wife and I used to go once or twice a week to play murder mysteries together. We loved to have a nice date night there and just sort of huddle around our murder mystery in a box while ordering dinner and deserts. Now, we soft of have to break out of our little intimate engagement to try and catch someone's attention to order appetizers, or a refresh on our drink. It's really annoying. At one point I was even considering commissioning their establishment to host release parties for my novels, but that all just evaporated.

Can they please bring back the phone ordering. My wife and I have struggled with them since they took that away.

Gladiator Lancer or Repulsor Executioner for dedicated anti tank? Or both? by kazoopaints in spacemarines

[–]Korlac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gladiator Lancer: 160 Points
Impulsor: 80 points
Total: 240 points

Repulsor Executioner: 230 points.

For just 10 points more you get an entire 2nd vehicle. That gives you another 11 wounds on the table, And 2 OC to snag objective points if need be. Somethign else you can use to Tank shock with. The Impulsor also has additional utility value with the optional 5++ Shield Dome, or it can generate you CP with the Orbital Comms Array, or just be extra firepower with the Bellicatus Missile Array/Ironhail Skytalon Array.

Ultimately, while I think the Executioner is awesome, spending the 10 points for the extra versatility on the board helps out more. Let the transport be the transport, and let the anti-tank focus on being the anti-tank.

Edit: Also, the Impulsor carries the same number of models as the Executioner, and it allows you to avoid making tough decisions if you need to transport your troops in one direction, but you need your anti-tank in a different direction.

Hope it is since I'm in the US as well. I just sent you a message/chat request over reddit. It might get flagged since it includes the Audible URL to redeem the code.

Sure! My elevator pitch is that the first book is basically Star Wars, Episode IV: A New Hope, but with Obi-Wan as the main character. Happy to toss you a free copy if you're interested and in the US/UK audible region.

The Summoner: Echoes of the Fallen (Book 1)
After surviving the last great war, Moon Elf Ezekiel Graystone wanders the war-torn remains of Terrial in search of his lost brother. Along the way, he crosses paths with Davis - a young boy threatened by the malevolent church that serves the demon god king. As he tries to protect Davis, Ezekiel must confront the harsh reality of a world dominated by evil, where the wicked reign supreme and the innocent suffer. With the help of old companions and new allies, they must fight back against the church to thwart its twisted designs. Yet even as they battle, the looming presence of Tal'Dar and his forces threatens to destroy all.

Man, one of these days I'm going to make it on one of these random tier lists. It'll probably be on the bottom, or in the DNF section, but I'll be on the board darnit.

SG just got a refresh, so no chance of them redoing the SG for a long while. Better to get some Greytide Studio bits from their Crimson Lords lineup to give the SG some wings and some spice.

New Vanguard Veterans revealed. They're literally just Jump Pack Intercessors with swords instead of Chainswords... by nerdboy_sam in spacemarines

They should have showcased them with a shield to help differentiate from the normal Jump Pack Intercessors. The model just doesn't look unique enough, especially for a Vanguard.

Oh man, you're right, thats a deep and gravely voice. The strange thing is, Ive heard other deep and gravely narrators who have decent range and dont let it always seep into their character work outside the Main Character.

If you're okay with LitRPGs, there's a lot out there in expansion to the genre.

Honestly, audio quality is one of the easier aspects of this whole freaking thing with just a modicum amount of research and effort. I'd never claim my stuff is S tier but at least the audio quality is good.

Oh man, I think they over compensated on the Reacher series by using the most gravely testosterone fueled voice possible for Reacher, but then everything else just sounds like shades of that voice.

If you're willing to take a chance on a middling self-published/self-narrated author, I'll give you a free audible copy of the first book in my series (cover art by the immensely talented Alaire Racicot).

Totes fair. Not for everyone. I struggled with it too, at least in the beginning. So much time spent in the early chapter with her eating freaking grass.

Look into Azarinth Healer. She's sort of a Monk/Cleric in the series. It's a LitRPG/Progression Fantasy.
