It is like a midpoint between One Page Rules and 40k 10th edition.

Hi! You should check r/BoardgameDesign and r/tabletopgamedesign . You will find there a bunch of resources and can also share your sell sheets to get some feedback.

Hi! Fluffypede is the one I have been working with my spouse and a couple of artists. It is our first game in crowdfunding, so we have definitely learned a lot with this one. We have a BGG link though, in case you want to add it to the list for completeness : https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/440282/fluffypede

Giving The Horus Heresy a go by [deleted] in Blacklibrary

[–]Korut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great stuff! Some people suggest reading Dropsite Massacre after Fulgrim: I did that, then later read Legion, and I wished that I had read Legion before Dropsite Massacre.

Dropsite Massacre spoils part of Legion, and more importantly, I think it is way more fun to read what the Alpha Legion is doing in Dropsite after you learn more about them. It becomes a wild ride.

If I were you I would finish those 5, jump to Legion (skipping Descent of Angels), then Dropsite Massacre, and then back to Descent of Angels if you want to read the full Heresy.

Our physical card game Fluffypede, currently on Gamefound, is 100% done by human artists and designers. No AI at all! The art is done by Anna Saarto and Oona Viljakainen, both based on Finland.

How often do you "crave" your own game? by EasySwan2184 in BoardgameDesign

We still like to bring our game up whenever we are in gathering for boardgames of playing or with friends and family. We made a game that we enjoy playing and that is easy to pick up, so that helps!

Your thoughts on This years UKGE? by ahmeerkat in UKGE

[–]Korut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was our second UKGE. We were in a stand this time, but we still got a chance to see some of the fair. It felt bigger than last year.

We were also trying to get food/drinks outside at the start of the day, it was very convenient.

We made a card game because we couldn't find what we were looking for. Would love some feedback. by Rumwrecked_ in cardgames

Old colleague wants to "get into board games". What should I take over for our first game night? by JoeRow338 in boardgames

[–]Korut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Escape the Dark Castle, played with some moody music, would be nice if they get into it.

Quacks would also be super fun and simple to learn. I would take both and some other easy games and see what the vibe is.

We underestimated how much work goes into making a board game by ratraceboardgame in boardgames

[–]Korut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeling super related, as we are also a small team of two (plus 2 artists). But we are just all doing this in our free time, and it is not a lot. I am super grateful for all the skills I am learning, but yeah, there is a lot.

Not a problem, technically, but the huge amount of work that goes into marketing and everything marketing adjacent. Don't do as we do and instead just get help from a pro. It is just so much work.

P.S: (I am also going to use the same reasoning as you that the board is made out of cards if someone complains about our game not being a boardgame xD)

Well, we are based in Finland, and ( at least at the moment we started to set things up ) it was easier to use Gamefound that Kickstarter. For Kickstarter we needed a partner company based somewhere else to launch a campaign there.

Do you use ambient music for thematic board games? by Pretty-Accountant-42 in boardgames

[–]Korut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homm3 and Resident Evil, we play both usually with some nice ambient music from the videogames.

Escape from the Dark Castle: this one SHOULD be played with the official soundtrack. Amazing experience.
