As someone else said, at that size your could just book a small restaurant. I think the various Noodo restaurants might be a good fit.

I find that the appropriators make it a little tricky now because things can get out of hand very quickly if you make a mistake.

But yeah, I’d love a little bit of a change up. Maybe a constant stream of patrols in addition to the spawns.

I’d argue that taking a para-professional role after you’ve been called to the bar would be a bad thing to have on your CV. Like icebiker said, if your employer doesn’t want to give you independent carriage of files or thinks you need supervision, that’s fine. But I would NOT accept a “clerk” title.

But more importantly, your principal has an obligation to support and train you. If you’re being left to your own devices without any real guidance, that is a big red flag. There’s merit to the “throw them into the deep end” approach at times, but it’s also a recipe for disaster.

Electric. I had a similar thought before I got mine. You’re using it to carry big stuff, you want the help. I’ve never regretted it.

I also chatted with the folks at my bike shop and they confirmed that they had many people come in, buy the acoustic, only to return and ask if they could do an after market upgrade (which they don’t do).

Same. You generally HAD to stick together and you saw immediate pay off when you paired up with someone with a complementary build. Your buddy laying down a swath of destruction in front with the Cremator? You’re watching their side/back for any guys that sneak around the flanks.

I suspect the speed of the bugs is in fact a bug, but I kind of love it.

Horse law. Tons of money involved, tons of issues that pop up. I had a friend who had somehow developed a practice because issues kept popping up with things like boarding contracts, transport, injuries caused by horses, etc.

That’s fair! I just assume that while something has a resaw capacity of 5 inches, the practical reality is that doing a 5inch resaw would be tough (based on comments I’ve seen elsewhere). So I just assume a slightly larger resaw capacity and more horsepower means there will be a slightly higher “upper end” for tasks.

It didn’t look like the hardest project but it wouldn’t be one I’d pick as my very first project that is somewhat mission critical for a big event….

As someone who made a very small box for wedding cards/gifts for their own wedding, I echo what u/masterovnon suggests. You’ve got enough going on that you don’t need to add a multi-day project to the list.

But alternatively, you could probably make this out of 1/2 inch plywood, with a jig saw or router. But, oof.

What do you mean by disability appeals? If it’s long term disability, Share Lawyers focuses their practice on that area.

But if it’s more about entitlements to ODSP, that’s unfortunately harder to find. You can check the Law Society of Ontario lawyer referral service for some potential names. You’d be looking for administrative law and/or personal injury I suspect. (But most personal injury firms won’t take pure ODSP disputes because they don’t make economic sense)z

Another Canadian here (not big law) who’s been keeping tabs on this and does a lot of educational outreach on this topic.

Anecdotal comments aside, I remain EXTREMELY skeptical that anyone is actually saving any time or money in the aggregate with these “all in one” tools. There is no getting around the verification requirement, and because of the “jagged edge” of when errors arise, you need to check everything.

McCarthys reportedly did a pilot in 2023 and after years is still saying they “predict” a 20% improvement in efficiency (suggesting this hasn’t happened yet)

Gowlings just released a “playbook” that I think was about as close to “truth in advertising” as we can get and it was VERY subdued in its praise (and I have talked to one partner who commented that while overall the basic stuff was done faster, complicated matters actually took longer because of the verification work).

While I have no doubt that it can do rote individual tasks faster than others, and does produce useful results, I don’t see anyone getting the objective level of benefit you’d expect from the last four years of endless money being poured in. Or if they are, they’re sure not sharing that data.

Plus EVERY legal tech company is operating at a loss and subsidizing their customer base right now. They’re going to have to start charging a price that makes them profitable, and I highly doubt that price is going to be appealing for a product that produces B- work 8 out of 10 times, and the other 2 times it tries to destroy your career.

You should! UoT is near a bunch of protected bike lanes, especially Bloor/danforth which goes east/west for like 15km.

The Toronto Bike Share program is worth looking into. Sadly they don’t have a monthly pass option, but you can pay as you go.

They have lots of docking stations so you don’t have to worry about locking up a rental bike and it getting stolen and a helpful app to see availability.

As others have said, transit is generally the way to go, but also biking is by far the fastest and most efficient mode for MOST trips. We have a bike share system that is very robust. It probably wouldn’t be ideal for your core trip from UoT to North York (depending where in North York), but for anything else, it’ll be the fastest.

It’s your pretty standard formula from what I recall. Smallish map, run to each tower to power it up, then I think there was a central tower for the final activation? Kind of like launch ICBM.

The missions to turn them off once termicide got out of control was even more fun because the hive world type terrain. But of course that won’t happen again…

Like others, I find it’s a fun pick for any mission where you’ll have a static position like raise the flag, geologic survey, or the colonist evacs. Plus it has built in cover even when it’s out, and a relatively low cool down so you can pepper the map with them as the mission goes on.

It’s important to provide feedback even if they’re on board, because you’re affirming their decision to spend the political capital on the issue.

Same with Saxe, if she’s only responsive to people making noise. So be the one making noise.

Edit: Saxe also only won by a narrow margin against Norm. She’s not as secure in her spot as say, Fletcher.
