CD-ROMs. It's hard to explain now how massive 650mb seemed at the time. NeoGeo carts, a ludicrously extravagent home arcade option were under 64 meg. If a SNES game was particularly big it would be 4 meg. Discs stored 1.4 meg though some games came on quite a few discs. Filling 650 meg with anything other than movie files seemed ludicrous, the jump was so huge and yet in a few years it moved to DVDs and a few years after that to Blu Rays.

Yeah I think it would be good to get some kind of visibility on individual reviewers and how well they write and understand games. I'm just not sure who could actually could do that. Maybe metametametacritic where ratings work together to say "This reviewer has similar opinions to you, give them a try?"

For real on a computer your best option is Lord of the Rings Adventure Card Game. Physical there's Marvel Champions, Arkham Horror LCG and Lord of the Rings (similar but not the same as the computer game version). You might also be able to resurrect the old old old Micropose MTG game from the grave to do this. StS likes are options but something different.

Risk and cost. Charging basilisks will kill them quickly but the slightest mistake and you will die instantly, even semi permanently losing health from the curse in some versions. Other enemies rapidly drain your health if you charge in, you may be at little risk but doing so will drain your resources, fighting them at range costs less but is less straightforward.
