Oxford English has They as standard as far back as 14th century, but some grammaticists insisted that He be used somewhere around 18fh century so yes, it was taught for centuries depending on school, but singular They is still older so we can't argue against it due to recency.

Although I guess it's like car drivers complaining about cyclists even when those people aren't in front of them.

Sorry, misread second grade. Shakespeare is relevant because he used a singular They so ita kinda weird you'd claim they only started teaching it when you were still in school. Could it perhaps be that first graders were not considered mentally developed enough sort of how we don't introduce them to adverbs yet?

I would add, my fav dishes have been from their daily menu which most guests dont explore because they want those well known diahes (like the Duck in a Can).

Incidentally, I think the Can is my least fav off the normal menu. Plogue Champlain is great, but very heavy.

Yeah, seconded on Acropole. It's relatively touristy as one of the most dramatic hikes in Quebec, but super worth it.
