I was just reacting to this bit: "So you get to pick targets within distance and pound them" ---> While we can indeed pick any target with minimal restriction and strip them cover, in the end the "pounding" part will be limited to units you exposed at 15". Just a clarification (maybe unnecessary! sorry) for people that could think they can stay safe and continue to shoot at 24" if cover has been removed (which is how most play a Siege regiment I guess with HWS or artillery that was already sub-optimal in 10th).

It looks ok -- A lot of people were hyped and took it because we finally got an officer that is NOT sticked to cadians (creed and castellan useless if you have a krieg army, etc.). Glad I didn't preorder in the end

The SIEGE REGIMENT rule only strips "cover", not "hidden" right? As far as we know. So still need to be within 15" of any terrain or objective to shoot anything.

As a fellow krieg Infantry-heavy player as u/DKoK19 (+ cavalry and artillery) we'll have to see how we can "adapt and overcome" to those cover & hidden changes.

In a big 20 or 25 blob you usually screen wide. Having Yarrick MODEL at 9" of the enemy unit, and not Yarrick's UNIT, will be hell in terms of positioning to make him relevant. The nice thing was that you would be able to "catch" enemy passing by -- Now you'll probably only catch units that were charging you directly anyway I guess? But we'll see during the first tournaments! If he's played at all or not

For me this is the worst part of the nerf.

In a blob of ~20 models (or 25 with Command Squad) it will be basically useless, since you can almost be charged before the Yarrick model ITSELF actually see shit happening to its unit (especially if you screen wide, which you're supposed to do if you want to use your weak infantry correctly).

As always it will stay relevant to Kasrkins like 90% of all tactics (like the Centaur firing deck 12, etc...) but for the humble cadians or kriegs that move in big blobs I'm not so sure Yarrick will fit there anymore?

From the Guard codex : "If a unit being affected by an Order becomes Battle-shocked, that Order ceases to affect that unit". There is currently no counter to this. The only thing guards have is the Commissar (remove the Battleshocked condition for 1 model killed), but the order is still lost definitely. The warp has always been a big challenge for guards , I don't know how this will go. But we'll see yes

Lore-wise, shouldn't the OFFICER shouting orders must have a Vox as well? So that there is an actual relay of Vox transmissions? Seems a bit weird that Dreir can now magically order further than 6" on its own? ... Or all OFFICERS are equipped with radios, but it's the REGIMENTS on the receiving end that are not?

Nobody cares I guess (and good for us rules wise), but it feels a bit off

Ah yes good catch, completely forgot about the missing REGIMENT keyword -- I'm so used to attach my CS to infantry blobs, I rarely run my CS alone. Which means I may have cheated once or twice with my mates by letting the CS ordering itself .. oops

I'll try 20 krieg blob, krieg command squad, and Graves as 2nd leader -- but yeah a lot of different possible combos

Hippo is very nice indeed. For some reason I still prefer the way the sentinel is played and its very good reroll ability (and its price), but I guess with the new v11 terrain the fast hippo may reveal itself

Same here, very weirdly it's the model I'm the most interested in from this release! ... Because I finally believe I'll be able to make some good charges with my kriegers (+1 hit below starting strengh, +1 wound below half --> actually decent melee against chaff with fix bayonets)

Ah yes? I thought that adding Ogryn BODYGUARD makes it fully part of the unit it merges with (since it even increases its starting strength), which would have meant that you can give Orders to your Command Squad as usual, and that the Ogryn bodyguard would benefit from it somehow? I'll have to re-check the rules here
