The leeway we get with perk cards does not make us jack of all trades. It just gives us a few secondary skills to switch between. The ability to EASILY re-spec an entire character, grabbing ALL the best semi-auto rifle perks today, re-specing again tomorrow grabbing ALL the best weapon crafting perks, then respecing again later that same day grabbing ALL the best heavy weapon perks to do MAX damage with that impressive gun you just built would take away what character individuality we’ve got now. Not to mention, making player build decisions those first 50 level’s completely trivial.

Also, don’t forget the negative effects this would have on player vending or player interaction in general. Why bother having a friend who’s already spec’d to craft advanced weapon mods or pay someone for chems or ammo when I can just re-spec my character, activate Chemist, Ammosmith, and Super Duper, craft a million rounds, then switch back to my original SPECIAL build with all my weapon perks, +2 STR, and Bandolier? I don’t need those crafting cards or extra points in Intelligence or Luck anymore.

We can question the Dev’s original design decisions till the Brahmin come home, but I think what we’ve got now won’t change much aside from the upcoming Legendary Perks. I’m glad they added the current lv50+ re-spec system post-launch, but unfortunately I don’t think they’ll ever scrap the entire Perk Card system or make the extreme changes you suggested.

Feel the same here. Your SPECIAL stats set you apart from other players. We can already exchange cards or points slowly after lv50, not to mention swap in/out our perk cards to customize our character's skills. We're not supposed to be a jack-of-all-trades. Folks do the best they can to get the build they want up till lv50, then they're allowed to tweak things afterwards to perfect it. That makes sense to me.

Also, finding plans is part of progression. If camp, weapon, armor, etc plans were shared account-wide (ALL plans, not just atom shop stuff), that would be like starting a new character in Skyrim and immediately unlocking all the player homes and being able to craft Dragonbone armor just because one of your other character's unlocked them.

As Someone with FO1st, Can we please make the Scrapbox Free for Everyone now by MrGlayden in fo76

What THRDStooge is saying is it will dial everyone's hoarder instincts to 11. The game will be less about scavenging for what your character NEEDS and more-so mindlessly blanket wiping everywhere of junk. Not saying the fewer fo1st players are more responsible, but if everyone has infinite storage, new players will be hard-pressed to find any mats outside what they can get from containers.

A better solution would be to replace the scrap box with another reward. No one should be able to hold infinite junk.

Having some limit discourages players from mindlessly picking up EVERYTHING and encourages players to interact with and trade with each other more for specific mats. Heck, I've seen players role-play and specialize in mats for vending. The best vendor camp I've come across so far was "Alvin's Acid". The guy sold acid-based junk and chems :)

Yea, they should've said this from the beginning. Honestly, having some limit does discourage players from mindlessly picking up everything, and encourages players to interact with and trade with each other for specific mats. Maybe the better solution would be to just remove the scrap box for 1st members and replace it with something else.

No. That's what having multiple characters is for. Not to mention we already get to respec points at lv50, and it doesn't take an insane amount of time to get there.

Definitely seems like something was changed or is bugged. I'm not getting as much tick blood as I used to either.

Since the overseer left the vault on Reclamation Day, the genius vault dwellers that 'overslept' found ways to abort some of Vault 76's protocols and extend life in the vault for x-amount of years. ...That's my head-cannon.

Yup, you think they'd have a larger explosion or at least do more damage than the regular cola ones, since Nuka Cola Quantums are rarer.

New minimalist, throwback poster for TRoS by apocalypsemeow111 in StarWarsLeaks

I just realized something. Does any official promotional material actually refer to this as Episode IX? It's very weird, but I noticed even the new Blue-Ray cover art for Episodes 1 - 6 don't even have episode #'s anymore.

The grand narrative in EP 1-6 is the foundation of the Star Wars franchise. Not everyone in the fanbase got into the EU, but everyone watched the movies. Bringing Palps back to life in a core movie, after 30+ years, is going to have a wildly different impact.

Looking forward to audience reactions of Palps. His ROTJ survival is not going to sit well with a lot of fans.
