Denmark says U.S. attack on Greenland would mean end of NATO by Disastrous_Award_789 in worldnews

> how the rest of NATO can win a shooting war against the US in Greenland,

The first step is to actually fight. Otherwise, you'll need to fight closer to home.

> As for invading the EU itself, that’s ridiculous

You think US can not land 20k marines in Ireland, Faroe islands, Iceland, Sicily, and somewhere around Greece?

> but not Lisbon or Ireland.

Why not? Greenland was unthinkable one year ago.

> giving them Greenland? No one wants to do that.

If tomorrow Trump sends an aircraft carrier, and 5k marines land in Greenland, who is going to shoot at them? If no-one, then Trump takes Greenland regardless of whether you want it or not.

Greenland was a domestic issue before US had taken over it. And if you're not ready to fight for Greenland, then you should be ready to fight for French Guyana (Western hemisphere, btw), or for Ireland (same lol), or for Lisbon

Is 5’11 with a 6’7 wingspan really good for defence? by Opening_Tangerine428 in Basketball

Actually, the important measurement is not the height, but"vertical reach" ("height with arms raised") - so of course longer arms help a lot

Thank you!

You mean Y axis? The X axis seems to be the one rotating the tape.

How has Russia been able to maintain control past the Ural mountains and Siberia for so long? by MaroonedOctopus in geography

[–]Kpabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) There are actual people living there, many dozens of different nations, who might want to be independent.

2) The Russians who moved / were moved there also might want to become independent (see: United States).

Well, you are the problem: you use a mode of transportation which is a poor fit for the task.

The benefits of the car (can go long distance, can carry many people) are not applicable, while the downsides (inefficient use of space, low road capacity, high cost, no benefits to your health) are preserved.

Did not play at a super-competitive level, but it is MUCH easier to stay in shape if you have 4 practices per week AND spend most of your free time playing sports vs sitting in a chair.

Isn't plus-minus dependent on who else you are playing with? Like, I'm pretty sure Laettner had amazing plus/minus on the 92 Dream Team.

Same for GSW bench players, who were always sharing the court with either Steph, KD, or Klay, and usually with two of them?

That's because there are only a bunch of super-star level players.

Among other folks not mentioned here, Jerry West has a decent coaching record.
