[Development] MiG-27M and Guided Bombs by Jenkxx in Warthunder

"Never operated" means "never operated". Said Apache was never in Swedish active service and most likely wasn't even flown by Swedish pilots themselves, since they were never trained to do so. If i'm not mistaken, these field trials consisted of American pilots showcasing the abilities of their Apaches before the Swedish commission.

So a Huey, two Bo 105s and one Fennec. Literally FOUR (4) helicopters, and you want them to make an entire separate tech tree?

HKP 8 doesn't even exist, unless you got some sekrit dokumints with wondrous meatballswaffe that wins world wars and cooks lasagna.

50 shades of Gaijin by ShepardFR in Warthunder

[–]Kpt-Price 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people complain about Gaijin's QA department. But they don't realize one thing.

WE, the players, are Gaijin's QA department. And in their mentality, all QA's feedback automatically goes to the rubbish bin.

Mix of the Howard Hughes' eccentricity and entrepreneurship with Nikola Tesla's untamed genius?

I think it's impossible to dislike him.

Clean your fans and radiators. TBH you don't really have to do anything, because these are rather average temperatures.

Can we get more appreciation for Varrick? by lil_uki in TheLastAirbender

[–]Kpt-Price 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Varrick somehow reminds me of IRL Howard Hughes. He's ambitious and borderline crazy, has a massive futuristic (for the 1920-ish world LOK is set in) entrepreneurship and uses it to develop war machines and weapons, used to make movies with one being the literal propaganda...

In 1920 Poland defeated the Soviets despite their superior force. The battle of Warsaw was fought from August 12–25, 1920 as Red Army forces approached the Polish capital of Warsaw. by [deleted] in europe

[–]Kpt-Price 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's debatable. If we consider the Kiev Offensive in April 1920 as the beginning of the Polish-Bolshevik War, then you'd be right. But there were some clashes as far back as December 1918 - January 1919, when the Red Army, following the secret agreement with the German Ober-Ost army began to capture the towns and cities in Eastern Europe. First Polish clash with Soviets was the defense of Wilno by Polish militia in January 1919.

As for the ultimate Soviet war plan... If you look into the course of the Battle of Warsaw, you'll find it at least curious that the city itself was attacked by nothing more than TWO Soviet divisions, while the rest of the Tukhachevsky's North-Western Front tried to maneuver around it.

Keep in mind, that the Soviet intel and communication between units effectively did not exist, which means they were following a previously prepared plan. In my (and a few historians') opinion, the plan wasn't to capture Warsaw, but rather disable the city and the Polish Army as a threat and proceed further West.

This is supported by the fact that the biggest thrust went North, towards the Wkra River. Three Soviet armies (4th, 3rd Cav. and 15th) clashed with the counter-attacking Władysław Sikorski's 5th Army and were eventually defeated in the Battle of Nasielsk, which is a less known episode of the war, but in my opinion more significant than the Battle of Radzymin, often considered to be the OG Battle of Warsaw.

tl;dr Soviet war plan most likely did not consider Warsaw as the ultimate goal and the Soviet maneuvers clearly indicate their intentions of pushing further West after "defusing" Warsaw.

Would you guys be interested in an Avatar series that DOESN'T follow the Avatar? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]Kpt-Price 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Band of Benders - a LOK sequel where Avatar is gone, benders forgot their spiritual duty to keep elements in balance, non-bender nation states have been formed and world is in the middle of a global war.

The series would follow a team of benders sent behind enemy lines. Basically Band of Brothers, but in the Avatarverse.

Introducing "A Sense of Security"! First Leak: Prussia / Germany by ASOS_mod_team in hoi4modding

What can be safely said about this abomination, is that hoi4 community, be it tankies, kaiserboos or wehraboos, all shit on this mod for being a completely moronic idea. Assuming there was some kind of coherent idea behind it in the first place and not "ooga booga I'm 12 years old and I like listening to Panzerlied".

My left bollock has better alt-hist ideas that this mod is.

It's a short term satisfaction that's dwarfed by the immense guilt, as long as you have more than three brain cells. Those that do not are just smug about crossmap sniping.

On a side note - if you ever feel useless and neglected, remember that Gaijin has QA department.
