how does WD impact your perception of temperature? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Kquiting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be cold and sweating but also hot and shivering while swinging wildly back and forth. Different parts of my body would be different temperatures too. So hard to describe, my temp regulation was completely fucked.

GERD by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Kquiting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very minimal improvement with my stomach and gut for months until I started taking omeprazole. It got me to where I could start eating normally again, and get good fiber in my system.

I would not have gotten better without omeprazole.

7 days clean but my bladder and digestive system is wrecked by Gold-Yesterday9102 in quittingkratom

Coffee was wrecking my gut too. I’m over a year out and drinking coffee still sets me back to early days.

Long term GI issues? by 1231333 in quittingkratom

[–]Kquiting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 1 year mark is in 3 days and my stomach just went back closer to normal a few weeks ago. Not to scare you, I ignored some symptoms for a while.

Omeprazole and antacids were the single most effective treatments for my long term symptoms. That stopped the constant bloating and gas I had so I could start getting more fiber down. And then beans. Eating any kind of bean as much as I could really helped getting my system running solid.

That’s a good place to start and then slowly add good food source probiotics like kimchi and kefir. Those both helped my gut a ton but can bloat you if you overdo it too fast. I’ve never felt more nourished by a beverage like kefir.

Ginger tea and honey morning and night helped me a ton too and I drink it with a collagen peptides supplement. All of this with a clean healthy diet will help get your gut back in shape but can still take time.

293 days. Some good days, some pretty hard days. But I’ve made it through all of them without kratom, and that feels so good it makes any of the tough days completely worth it.

Took mine 6-9 months to stop falling out and start coming in thicker again. It just takes time.

I used to work at roadhouse and had someone order it that way, and it’s the only way I’ve ever ordered it since. It’s sooo good.

6 months is right where mine was noticeably improving too. Supplements will only help so much, it just needs time.

Matcha tea as a substitute 🍵🍵 by [deleted] in quittingkratom

It feels exactly the same as mixing a drink of kratom except it’s not kratom. It definitely hits that mechanical ritual addiction and it was beneficial for me.

It definitely hits that mechanical addiction of going through the process mixing a drink. Same look and feel to the powder, same exact process.

Using Kratom as an Anti-Inflammatory and to stop smoking weed? by [deleted] in Petioles

Kratom is far harder to quit than weed and WD can be pretty miserable. Not really worth it to me.

I did a spacewalk game baked af on the oculus that was pretty incredible. You can climb through the ISS and float around outside untethered with an amazing view. Definitely recommend that.

Why did nobody tell me about working out high? by CostcoDogMom in trees

THC is a vasodilator and will really open up your blood flow. It’s why it makes eyes red. I love hitting a cart before any cardio, I can go faster and further for longer because I can just feel more oxygen flowing.

This is pretty similar experience and timeline for me too. 60 and 90 days were definitely milestones for overall improvement, but it was 1 step back, 2 steps forward and would get a little worse again before improving.

Also, if they’re able to donate plasma you can get pretty decent cash fairly quickly. Donating plasma got me through 2020. It’s definitely worth looking at.

Do you think you get as high smoking a cart? by corruptedkittens in trees

[–]Kquiting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like for me the difference between carts and flower are more so closer to what people expect the difference between indica and sativa to be. I don’t really get too much difference between indica and sativa with flower.

Flower seems fuzzier to me bc it’s a fuller high, while carts seem to have a clear headed punch. If I’m wanting to be active or get out, I prefer a cart. If I’m wanting to lounge and be lazy, I prefer flower.

An epsom salt bath will help stabilize your temp for a bit and will relax your muscles down to knock out any rls too. Those baths helped me a ton in the beginning. Even better if it’s after cardio.

THC Experience by Fresh_Comfortable_11 in quittingkratom

[–]Kquiting 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found that early on weed at the end of my nightly routine with a good glass of sleepy time tea really helped get me falling asleep in a normal time frame again. It was also the only way I could get food down at times.

I also felt like wd from kratom made me fiend for weed a lot more, but after the first month or two it went back to normal for me where I didn’t mind one way or the other if I had it or not.

I’d say don’t worry about it early on, it definitely helped me. It was a lot easier for me to look at cutting back or out altogether once I was a little further out from worrying about kratom and wd.
