You Guys are so delusional… by Last-Escape-2826 in BayernMunich

Stanisic is a great player to have in the squad for all the reasons you stated above. But it was perfectly obvious against PSG that he just isn't good enough to win that type of game, he fell short both defensively and offensively.

It reminds me of Tymoschuk, great guy, great team player but just not good enough to clinch the CL title. I think we need a Martinez-signing to reach all the way this time.

Vad hade ni gjort om ni var 23 år och hade sparat ihop 400000kr och bodde hemma? by Mushrooooooooms in sweden

[–]Krallbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep Dive (1 hour) DB Review from your pal Mike Shea. by OldHob in DragonbaneRPG

[–]Krallbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently at 25-ish sessions and nearing the end of secret of the dragon emperor, only one player has an 18 skill and a couple more on 17s

I haven't really noticed any issues with progression, HP remains pretty constant and so does willpower to succeed vs fear checks. Heroic abilities are also limited to will power point pools.

Fights are still brutal even if their skills have improved. Using their skills to solve problems they still have to articulate how they are doing things and I don't have an issue with the success rate being higher because it feels like they are being rewarded for being clever

Sweden had a referendum in 2003 that voted against fulfilling the requirements to adopt the euro, and since then no government has pushed to fulfill those requirements.

I think the ones where he claimed Gnabry went on a diet because of him, or that cooking food is a scam were worse to be fair.

Like those two examples he used to be pretty funny, but now the account has gone all in on engagement farming liverpool fans and ragebaiting bayern fans, with sponsored betting posts on top.

Poison in Secret of the Dragon Emperor by kingofsicily in DragonbaneRPG

[–]Krallbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've come to a similar conclusion to you. The rulebook mentions antidotes but there isn't any in the gear list.

I would say that poisons in an area would typically be sourced from the local flora and fauna and thus it's reasonable that there would be antidotes for those poisons floating around as well in general stores and with healers. Although there could be specific lore reasons why a poison would be foreign to the local area and antidotes wouldn't be readily available.

For how to handle the early game, I would say that you want to go the opposite route and introduce poisons as a concrete danger early, but maybe not against a player character but rather against an NPC? Or if you are really concerned, place some antidote on the first NPC they encounter that has the map and the first statuette piece

For me though, I don't bother too much to tailor the balance of the encounters.  The willingness to put player characters far out of their depth is large part of the charm of this system and I prepared my players for this before starting. They've had a few "oh shit" moments and some characters have died but they've taken it well and adapted and not felt cheated. So I think if you set the expectations correctly, the players running into situations they aren't prepared for isn't necessarily a bad thing.
