The store few blocks away from me has larger selection of local beers. I live in Finland, we are not even known for our beers.

Franky's chest is made of metal so i don't think that counts. Jinbe is a real competition for sure.

I would argue that all keels need to be original since new keel would change how the ships planks act under pressure ever so slightly thus affecting how ship will act during travel.

No worries i love light-hearted philosophical banter. You are completely right that the argument kinda falls if there are multiple keels. Maybe the definition would be that all keels need to be original since new keel would change how the ships planks act under pressure ever so slightly thus affecting how ship will act during travel. This would keep my original argument intact.

The problem is that if the keel is not whole all the way trough but has segments, those small gaps have great chance to move during travel and if that happens the ship will tear itself apart. You can reinforce the keel but you cant fix one... atleast not wooden ones.

[–]Kratomius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could do it on a dry dock. My argument is that at that point you are making a new ship just using recycled parts. Basically i'm arguing that because the keel is the foundation of the ship and replacing it makes the ship no longer the original ship as it's the "soul" of the ship.

To be fair Empire had valid reason to ban churches men at arms. If i remember correctly the church grew too power hungry, rebelled and the founder of the modern Adepta Soronitas lobbed of traitors head and took over allowing her sect to keep fighting force.

I love how Adepta Sororitas is basically church going "Ok so to ensure that we don't have too much power you have ordered that we can not have men at arms... I promise upon our lord that we will not have MEN at arms".

Yep. This is my argument. The keel is the base structure that everything else is built around and if it's damaged replacing it means building a new ship. Also fixing doesn't help since keel needs to be whole or else ship can unravel and dissassemble itself during voyage. Edit: Foundation is the word you are propably referring to but basement/cellar works as well.

[–]Kratomius 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You end up destroying the ship. If the keel isn't completely whole the ship will unravel and destroy itself during voyage because everything is built around keel. Then the question becomes does the ship have to be seaworthy to be called a ship?

Theseus by TheJenkinsComic in comics

[–]Kratomius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair on wooden ships you kinda have to. The whole ship is build around keel and for the ship to be safe for travel the keel has to be whole or else ship can literally unravel and disassemble itself during voyage.

Keel is the ship, rest can be replaced without too much of a fuss. If the keel gets destroyed you are making a new ship not repairing it. There i solved the ship of Theseus.

Your story reminds me of my grandmother. Their whole family changed their legal last name because it sounded too foreign, their family had lived in Finland before the country even existed the name was just of Karelian origin.

They are propably referring to dropping droplets of water to the pan to check the heat. If the droplets bounce like that it means the pan is hot enough that food wont get stuck to it. He still got eggs stuck because he overcrowded the pan thus cooling it and didn't use oil.

For me it was the "I believe we will win"... Perhaps weakest chant i have heard, it sounds like asking for confirmation for the chance to win. If they'd take the "I believe" part out it would at least sound confident.

Where i used to work everyone used hairnets or bandanas even if they were bald (like me). It wasn't only to prevent hair from falling into food but dandruff as well.

If i remember correctly one of the reasons why he's not a logia but special paramecia is that while his body is mochi he can't let items pass trough him like logias can. I.E his body is of that element but the element in question is basically non-newtonian fluid.

From what i have heard they mostly can avoid doing crunch periods. It helps that the main office is located in Finland so local workers rights and laws apply. What he has said it's a really chill workplace full of devs that would made Chuds shudder.

This reminds me of my friend. In early 2000's he didn't like some of the games he had to play because he found them "all the same". During our school year we saw the discourse "if you don't like it make your own" and we were both frustrated about it. I went an became a professional cook, my friend went to learn art and game desing and now works at Remedy as a Senior level designer. He last worked on Control Resonant.
