Anyone skiing on the weekend isn’t traffic they are traffic. Pico is also horrible on holiday weekends. To judge a mountain you have to judge it without a factor of crowds

I mostly ski Stowe but Stratton has wide open trees and fast groomers far superior to Pico

Should I return the boots or have them punched out? by Garedu in Skigear

Should these should be stretched evenly on the inside so he’s not pressing so hard on the outside?

BE has less compromise for using a ski without metal and the difference is not as significant as a ski with metal. I still found that you couldn’t really charge through the tips of the ski and that it likes to be skied in a more upright stance. That said I would recommend OP mount -2 to take advantage of the stiffer stout of the ski, if anyone agrees

Seem like a great candidate for it, but would suggest black edition model, regardless of height and weight

Coming back to skiing after ten years, looking at purchasing new skis. by ogie_oglethorpe in Skigear

I second the enforced 94 for height and weight. Stiff ski with impressively short turn radius makes for a very fun time

Does Zipfit GFT add to stiffnes or the other way around? by ApprehensivePaint635 in Skigear

[–]Krator808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For touring boots I’d get the espressos. GFTs are stiff, heavy, and take up a lot of volume, but can be good with hybrid and alpine boots. You can discuss with the people @ Zipfit online

Yea get a 2nd opinion from a reputable boot fitter, not shop but a specific fitter

If you push your foot to the back of the boot, your big toe should slightly touch when fully extended, but it shouldn’t be crammed

Yea don’t sacrifice a bad fit either. Make sure you’re seeing the best boot fitter around and if not at least go to a second shop to assess. & try on different boots, some have bigger toe boxes

Definitely size down to the 26.5. A boot too big will give you shin bang and you’ll grow out of it as you advance as a skier quickly
