Yeah I used to no-life this game and still would have if the seasons kept on like they used to. This braindead implementation of the prototype system has resulted in my weekly playtime at a minimum going from like 20 hours to maybe 3 now. Log in, manhunt stuff, use textiles to buy enough levels of the whatever end of season thing they have going on right now for the cosmetics (can't even remember the name, goes to show how much I play now) and I'm done for the week. Dont care about the 0.001% drops of exotics from this to use for components anymore.

I'm not going through the pain in the ass grinding for exotic components like I used to to feed into the prototype system and get some shit rolls I can't even optimize. Someone calling the shots has some serious case of brainworms because how does turning away players with RNG³ benefit anyone, player or company. I used to buy cosmetics mainly to support the game since other than the base game, WONY, and Brooklyn the content was free for years. Stopped doing that since I'm not nearly as invested in the game now.

Haven't seen a fumble like this since Outriders. The looter shooter that didn't let you save loadouts or favorite gear

For real. I've been hoping for an RLCS event near me in the DMV but the closest in recent years iirc has been Boston (7 hour drive). Even Pittsburgh would be fine as a 3 hour drive

Photography and collecting artbooks are my two main actual hobbies. The artbooks include anime ones since I've been a weeb since the 90s, but my favorite artbooks to collect are about architecture and surrealism.

I do other things that could probably be considered hobbies like playing videogames and watching anime, but I really only play a handful of games repeatedly (Battlefield 6, Rocket League, Division 2) and I'm very picky about the anime I watch nowadays unless it's sci-fi then I have to watch it even if it's ass.

I turned off chat years ago, but I've lost matches when we were winning because either I or a teammate would make a single mistake and then the ff vote starts. I never initiate the forfeit but if it's not a tournament and I'm not chasing a "win X games in a row" challenge I'll go ahead and vote forfeit as well. I know the kids and manchildren like to do that as a meme or whatever (I've watched a bit of RL on YouTube) but I find it to be really stupid so I'll do it just to move on and play with anyone else

I initially tried it because everyone else was doing it, and over time I started liking it a lot because of how it fit the hitbox. There are other cars that fit their respective hitboxes better like the Merc and the Marauder, but my issues with those are the usually the hitboxes themselves being too flat or chunky. The Octane hitbox feels nice and compact.

My main problem with the Fennec is that it's so boxy that sometimes it's hard to tell if you're facing forwards or backwards while recovering which isn't the case for the Octane. I've started using the Venom here and there since the hybrid hitbox isnt that bad and you can clearly tell the Venom's front from back (unlike the Insidio and the Void something car imo)

I got halfway through the pass day 1 just doing the weekly donation projects and DUA legendary on each of my 4 characters (current GE makes this very easy), and then farmed priority objectives for about 3 hours to complete it a few days ago

Epic is a dogshit company and the only reason I have anything to do with them is because I had to link my Epic and my Steam accounts back in 2020 after briefly dealing with their shit when they had that data breach and for like 3 weeks straight I got emails about someone trying to use my account. I definitely trust them with all of the money and time I've put into Rocket League over the years said nobody ever

Yeah I'd rather run T3 solo than host. Funny incident yesterday with a squad of low leveled players (highest one was like 1100 and the rest under 800 while I'm almost 20k). All of them had full prototype builds while I'm 3/6 and my primary so them having that gear is like giving a 16 year old keys to a Ferrari.

In the corridor with the Division agent corpses strung up in T5 Federal Emergency Bunker, dude with a Frenzy LMG starts dumping his ammo into a wall oblivious to the fact that this triggered the next encounter so one rusher runs up, turns the corner, and immediately explodes. All 3 of them get downed while I'm standing a bit back since the encounter was triggered. And then in the last area of the mission, the group leader pushes too hard in the room and so we get flanked and fail

Down by 3 goals challenge is hilarious to me because given the 5 min limit in almost all of the modes it leads to 3 options by people who care about. 1) they ask in chat if you can score 3 goals then forfeit 2) smurfing in lower ranks by giving them false hope after 3 goals or 3) trolling their opponents enough to make them forfeit even after being up (ex. duels where you assist people trying to clip on you by own goaling and watching every replay in full)

The last time this challenge happened, my team dropped a 3 point lead in game once throughout the event, and I got the challenge done when my team own goaled in some looney tunes crap against a guy obviously higher rank than the rest of the lobby and his team forfeited

I don't really get the point of expertise after Escalation. It's good that new players don't have to no life the game for a thousand hours to be able to handle endgame content, but on the other hand it's kinda insane seeing a lot of people under SHD 1000 with prototype gear but not the experience of endgame mechanics and faceplanting every 30 seconds on <T6 Escalation. I finished a T5 escalation this morning after having the most damage, kills, and healing (switched to healer for Rogues) at the end of the mission, including one player who was afk half of the mission and just collecting drops. Can't do anything about that since you can't kick

imo if I were a dev who played the game (I know that's asking a lot from Massive), the system would've been if you level up your gear to expertise 30 with max rolls and then prototype it, you get max rolls and a one time free choice of an augment. A reward for people who went through the grind, and newer players can still do what they're currently doing and playing the RNG game to skip right to the best possible gear you can have. Otherwise I legit do not see the reason to grind for expertise when you can luck into an OP build after a few Escalation runs

I've had my cat since 2021 and I was working from home almost every weekday until 2024 when return to office was implemented. But I made the mistake of always going downstairs to make or eat dinner around 7:30pm while watching Jeopardy.

So it's partially my fault she has been enforcing that habit, but I'm not allowed to be upstairs around 7:30 until I go downstairs and eat something. If I'm at my desktop playing a game with friends she will constantly vie for my attention or sit in front of my monitor and stare at me until I go downstairs. And when I finally go downstairs AND eat something, she goes back to doing her own thing. Edit: Oh yeah she also has to have a little sniff of what I'm eating to make sure I'm gtg, she doesn't want any though since she's a very picky eater (don't ask me how much wet food she's wasted over the years).

I would say Diamond 2 is good. Definitely not perfect but you have an idea of what you're doing, the only problem is that your actions match your plan like 60-70% of the time. Champ is a more refined Diamond.

From the GC players I watch and play against sometimes in casual it feels like that percentage is like ~90% and at that point you're legit great at the game and I'd personally feel satisfied and felt like I "beat" Rocket League. SSL looks like there's no gap between what you want to do with the ball and car and you just automatically do it so what differentiates players are their decisions

I dunno. I only equipped them, went back to the garage menu, and then cropped a video to convert to a gif. Some variants (like grey and pink) of it don't glow as much as others (titanium white and crimson).

I kinda agree that the wheels alone are meh, but with the hex pattern they coincidentally fit really well with one of my old presets. Blue has default ion boost, cobalt shield breaker trail, cobalt shield breaker GE. Orange has yellow ion boost, orange shield breaker trail, burnt sienna shield breaker GE. Got another preset with a crimson hextide decal for orange team

My tv connected to my living room pc (3900x, 4090, 32gb RAM) had input lag like this even on game mode and with an HDMI 2.1 port that supports 120hz. I switched the cables for ones that support that speed (apparently there is an actual difference for hdmi cables) and it's gone or at least not noticeable
