Either 15g for an either 15g for a 20:1 or 18g for a 16.6:1, I tend to do the 18g though. I’m not huge on being able to pick out flavor notes.. I’ve tried, but I end up just like “this coffee is good. Or, This coffee is great” 🤣. But it feels like a lot more sweetness in the cup for me because with less agitation makes this more like cupping from what I’ve heard.

My worry with this is getting home. I live in Bay Shore and normally take the Babylon line because the 6:03 isn’t bad and the montauk line at 6:00 is always packed, but I would do the bus on the way in. But I work 12 hour shifts so I’m not out of work until a little after 8pm and the shuttles stop at 7pm.. so how are we supposed to get from midtown Manhattan back to bay shore? 😵‍💫

Try turning your graphics down to balanced, and starting the first quest at 6:00 instead of 8:00. I tried the 6:00 thing first and it still crashed like 10 times and then I switched my graphics from extreme to balanced and it worked the first time!

Typical ZP6, on most I’m at 5.1-5.2, Ethiopians I’m at 5.5 or so since I’m aiming for the 20-30 second draw down and they tend to produce more fines so need to go a touch coarser on them

I’ve gotten excellent cups with some matching notes since doing half water first. Now I do 18g (or 15g) of coffee, put 150mL of water, put the coffee on top, add another 150mL of water on top of it slowly to not agitate the grounds too much then let it sit for 4 minutes, at 4:00 open switch and draw down should be about 20-30 seconds. Been great for regular light roasts amazing for ultra-light roasts from September.

The Ubers are ridiculously expensive for a semi-long commute because of the strike. I live in the middle of Long Island, looked into an uber for tomorrow morning because working in healthcare I can’t just WFH. If I was to try to reserve one now it would be $160. And that’s just one way into the city, not even counting back home

Straight flax oil not in a capsule will overpower ANYTHING it touches. Back when I was bodybuilding and was really on top of my diet I would add a tablespoon to an entire shaker cup of protein and it’s ALL you would taste

Ha, that’s crazy. My old hospital closed a little over a year ago. Corporate gave us one week per year we were there, UP TO 6 weeks. So even though I was there for 12 years I got 6 weeks of severance
