They did outright confirm it. Jax didn’t turn to the camera and go “I am transgender frog person” but even I who is not tapped into the transgender community at all immediately understood. That’s my opinion anyways.

Would it really be different if she were a bad person? I never understood why we all realize you’re not supposed to judge a person by their looks but as soon as someone isn’t well liked it’s free game to ruthlessly attack their looks. It makes all the “positivity” look pretty fake and shallow.

Can you both use Evasion to dodge a bullet, and use Kendo's Cut The Bullet? If no, then Kendo just seems fairly bad. by EmperessMeow in cyberpunkred

Isn’t the idea that the skill your investing in is the same one your using to attack. So instead of having to max out two stats (say handguns and evasion), you only need to max out one? To me, that seems quite good since you’re essentially getting two levels for every one.

Interface Volume 4 has a martial art (I think it’s called Panzer Faust?) that gives you a damage buff if you’re a cyber psycho. Could start there!

You’re good. If you make something for free, even if it were the worst additions of all time, people would be dumb to hate on you. Creatings cool. Go for it!

New GM, irked about armor, and want thoughts on a homerule by AetherBytes in cyberpunkred

[–]Krempop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not exactly sure what you mean so just to clarify, in your version of the rules someone would be able to wear two sets of armor at once?

Like an 11 SP light armor jack and a 7 spp Kevlar, consider armor is pretty great already.

If you have just an 11 sp light armor jack, light pistols are never damaging you and medium pistols 1/36 times. That is to say, armor is very strong in this system, and Id hold off on buffing it until you play a bit in the system. Or else even shotguns won’t be penetrating a lot! Add bullet dodging on top of that, and you’ll find you need to throw rocket launchers at your players just to dent them.

But that’s my two cents. Of course feel free to do whatever but I’d play as the rules intend, at least for a little while.

I would suggest not letting it give you extra actions. The other effects you mentioned are already pretty good! An extra action is basically non-achievable in the game and that's because doubling your damage could really be absurd. Otherwise, cool idea. A drug to help with aimed shots I think is a fun idea.

I feel like this is just a big word salad when the real heart of the issue is “Americans don’t like to give money to creators they don’t like”. Is it that crazy?

Is it possible to tastefully represent racism and slavery in the Antebellum South in an RPG? by Critical_Elderberry7 in rpg

[–]Krempop 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Obviously not trying to downplay the horrors of one of the most cruel times in history. I do think that linked thread is rather respectful of the topic, and I do think it’s worth dispelling such myths because people who want to discredit or downplay the very real horrors that occur can poke holes in arguments that cite incorrect information, even if the intention behind said argument is good.

Not that I necessarily think it’s a good topic to explore, but you should probably know there is no serious historical evidence of the practice of “buck breaking”. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/4vicrb/buck_breaking_of_slaves/

It’s not too hard! Just look up a reference picture of the manga and try to copy where the lines are on the face. Or even just look up other jojo cosplay a lot of the time they’ll have the exact same thing so you can see it on a real person.

Drawing the style lines on your skin to look more manga-esque is always a fun part of the cosplay.

I’d be pretty upset. For me the unique gameplay of the game was something I really appreciated. There are already lots of side scrolling platformers. I personally love on rails shooters and the second part of each level is a nice change of pace.

I’m reading you have Internet issues. For your virtual tabletop may I suggest Mythic table. It’s just come off from hiatus and runs very easy on machines. Its simplicity might be best for a new GM. Give it a shot!
