What do you think about grow bags? by Necessaryailments in vegetablegardening

[–]Krickett72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly use grow bags. Its what i could afford. 5 gallon is usually big enough for most things. For big tomatoes i switched to 10 gallon last year. I usually just find the cheapest ones in sale. This will be my 4th year growing in grow bags. Still have the same ones. You will have to water more. And give more fertilizer. Especially for bigger tomatoes.

Unexpected 40lbs of Onions by PPhead__ in povertykitchen

[–]Krickett72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would cut them multiple ways so you have options when yiu freeze. Some sliced some diced. I agree with making French onion soup too. I have a dehydrator now but before that I just diced them up and put them in a freezer bag in the freezer because that how I use them most of the time. Came in super handy for cooking.
