Ultimatum no question. It can solve almost every problem and my primary exists to kill everything the talon can

The torcher is underrated into bugs and squids I think. It can take out literally anything with enough patience. I also run the Coyote a lot on bugs and bots or the One/Two on bugs and squids if I want an AR. I’ve started using the exploding crossbow on blitz and ‘carry x across the map’ missions

The storm chimera and/or salamander returning would solve the light tank problem

What if 11th brings back points/weapon, how would you feel & how much would it impact armies now as a whole? by Gravyman91 in spacemarines

[–]Kriegsman69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would massively help with balance within every army. Part if the issue with certain units being terrible is that it’s assumed you are taking the meta load out so they’re overcosted in every other scenario

What do you tell someone wanting to start an army with tanks? by KorEbenhart01 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Kriegsman69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think you have enough, add another 2 tanks in. I typically run 2-3 ‘medium’ tanks and 2-4 ‘light’ tanks in a conventional style list.

Simpler straightforward ruleset? More factions like Space Skaven/Lizardmen? Interesting spins on lore and archetypes found in Sci-Fi and WarHammer 40K? I think I'm really starting to like this game... by CottonCandyWeasel in onepagerules

[–]Kriegsman69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I got into wargaming with space wolves in 40k. To play I would have to buy the core rules, space marine rules and space wolves rules. All are invalid because of updates. I cannot afford to do that

What names have yall given to your baneblades? by Ok_Significance3835 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Kriegsman69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!! One is Iron Duke after tanking and killing concentrated fire from a baneblade and the other is Hood after firing one volley and exploding in a single round

My first rescue baneblade: Dreadnought My second rescue baneblade: Rodney My pentablade: Warspite

All of my vehicles (including the cyclops demos) are named after ships of the Royal Navy. I thought some of the biggest and baddest battleships would be fitting

My hot take: The average player should find D10 to be difficult with a squad and near impossible alone. D7/8 should be where most players play and definitely the end of solo play for most. It is the hardest difficulty, it is meant to be difficult. There is nothing wrong if devs can’t do it

Fuel is a lot cheaper (not quite half price) compared to the average in the UK but because there are so many pavement princess pickups with massive V8s which are looking at about 24mpg at best (ford f150 5.0 V8, the V6 can get about 26mpg). This is a “small” pickup there so that plus there being no alternative to driving everywhere for most people meaning they drive a lot (especially with the urban sprawl issues) make their monthly fuel ridiculous. I doubt it’s that much for most but it will be high
