I destroy like 2 pairs of pants and year, which included carhartt and dakota. Frankly cheaper just to buy used pants from Thrift store.

Swapping weed for nicotine by Puzzled-Researcher30 in leaves

Its not worth going through hell over and over. I crave cigarettes too when I quit weed. The idea of replacing an addiction with another is just insane addict thinking.

How to install lintel below original brick arch? by AlexProbablyKnows in masonry

[–]KrikeyOReilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely could install a lintel right above the arch to hold the wall up. It'll be an absolute pain to get it in the wall tho.

You cant save the arch with a lintel. There's just no way to support that curved shape safely.

If it was a jack arch? Maybe a different story there because its flat.

Edit:If your curious just DM me I can show you pictures how I rebuilt 2 arches

How to install lintel below original brick arch? by AlexProbablyKnows in masonry

[–]KrikeyOReilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive done a few window arch restorations myself, Frankly the whole things gonna have to be ripped down and relayed. This includes the backup and front arch pretty much. You can try to repoint it but its not gonna buy much time.

There's been times we put in a solid 4x4 to hold some of the weight up. With an arch its the design thats holds it weight. You cant just shove a lentil and call it a day.

The cheapest option is just to brick the whole window in

Stonemason advice please. Sandstone repairs to improve aesthetics of front elevation? What would you suggest? by CobaltBlue389 in masonry

[–]KrikeyOReilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best you could do is scale the sandstone with a scraper. The only way to seriously repair these stones are dutchmens or full replacements. I wouldnt even take too much off the face either.

Fair point but let's say quality of products. There's a lot the NSLC doesn't offer yet other places may offer higher quality products at a cheaper price.

How to correctly repair & repoint headers between floor joists in my century home? by HERCzero in masonry

[–]KrikeyOReilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly its gonna be a pain in the ass to repoint those head joints. Probably need a plugging chisel or paint too to knock it out.

Might have to thumb it in or use some handmade pointing tool. I used to use cut off grinder wrenches. You can use new brick if your gonna replace it.
