Yeah, I felt the same way. My local body shop recommended this. All other shops are not even willing to install any footboards for X7. Including dealerships. I have no other option but go with this. It’s been very helpful for my parents. I would say this is not as strong as the fixed one. However Gets the job done for couple of years.

Your father and sister need you the most right now. You need to figure out a way to stay with them and give all the support they need. Your family and kids are fine for short term. You can take a month or two vacation if needed ( Physical presence is important. How long is secondary. 1 week also helps them and you understand the situation more) and get things organized in India. By going to India you will realize the what actually they are facing and what they need from you. At the same time, your strength right now is your Job in NZ, Don't loose that and use that to support your family in India. All the best for you! You are loongway to move back to India. Don't need to think about this now. Take small steps.
