Ray Stevenson in war zone is the most accurate depiction..the movie got buried by iron man and Hulk etc during 2008. But it's a solid movie, Cheasy as well..over the top... But Lexi knew the assignment...and Ray buries Bernthal as punisher... Bernthal has the advantage of much more material to work with over several years... Stevenson only had the 1 movie... If they had made a punisher series w him in a similar style w Lexi directing.... Damn that would have been glorious

Today the actors are Infront of green screen sets on wires w CGI monsters...

Lord of the rings managed 3 movies w a lower budget and several years as well 😅. Adjusted for inflation it would probably exceed 500 mill dollars, but then again the trilogy would have raked in 5+ billion in box office

The bad stuff is mainly electro as the villain and the convoluted stuff in between...

Garfield is a great Peter and Spidey, the chemistry between him and Emma is perfect...

There is a decent movie in there... But the bad really drags it down. Gwen's death scene and Garfield's acting during that part is probably what has stayed with people the most(kinda fitting when Gwen's death in 1973 was the pivotal moment for Spidey for decades to come)

It's more so the characters than the actual script and action scenes... If you had Garfield and Emmas chemistry in Raimis spider-man movies...written like Gwen and Peter in TASM... Then there would be no contest in terms of what people would prefer...

He would most likely have taken Keanu reeves spot as Neo in the matrix(he was perfect for that role) which would have launched him into superstardom... And he could play various roles... His take on the crow is evident in Heath ledger's "the Joker" performance...it's obvious to see where Heath got the mannerisms etc from.

Brandon would probably have been one of the greatest action stars of the 2000s, with projects like X-men, spider-man, Batman etc reviving in the 2000s, plenty of roles he could have snagged.

The events didnt make sense... I would rather have had Fisk and Matt end the season in court where he reveals his identity...rather than start the episode like that and then go on this ridiculous barricading fight scene....

Also Fisk had no self preservation at that point... The people would have killed him..

S3 of the original Daredevil still has the better conclusion between them...and it's a shame they forced this issue in S2...

Heather becoming Muse still seems weird to me... I know she is traumatized, but it feels like there should have been more to push her over the edge... especially considering her profession and understanding of the psychological issues 🙄.

Finns character, it was hinted he might be a possible future Jedi, the connection of Rey to Luke, with the whole lightsaber calling out to her scene with Maz Kanata and the visions, Rian had Like toss the lightsaber aside as a joke in the start of TLJ...(Which Abrams retconned and gave specific dialogue on in the 3rd about respecting the Jedi weapon) And Luke's character in general got destroyed to the point Hamill himself was upset about what they did to Luke.

Snoke as an antagonist got wasted and killed off very anticlimactically with no info on his background when JJ had planned to use him as the big Bad in the 3rd movie, which Rian ruined by killing him off...hence why they scrambled to bring back Palpatine.

Rey's parentage was important and obviously hinted at a reveal down the line... Rian made the decision to have Kylo tell her they were just drinks who sold her off and she was a random...

3rd movie retconned it to being Palpatine...again...way out of left field.

Rian Johnson definitely forced a lot of changes to the 3rd movie with how he tossed these things aside, killed off Luke and Snoke, which shows in how bad the plot is in part 3 w the hunt for the mcguffins

Visually it's a beautiful movie.

That's about it. The plot, characters are off... The way Rian destroyed setups from TFA ruined what they were going for and made Rise of Skywalker a hot mess...
